I like how people are getting tired of the movie trailers using a slow tempo version of old rock songs, and here Riot is literally doing the same, but with their own songs.
It's not even remotely close to being true. Lightbringer has ~36M views. K/DA Popstars has over 549M views. Idk wtf you mean when you say "biggest", but it's clearly not "the most viewed", "the biggest budget", or anything of the sort.
This song is great it fits so many champions, you can pretty much choose who its for. Kayle fits greatly, Sylas works good for his cause, just amazing work.
Many champs are about rising up and taking down the evil forces at the top, or at least about bringing the light in some way. Azir could see himself as a lightbringer, he who will bring the ancient glory back to Shurima. Sylas could see himself as he who brings down the darkness that is the Lightshield family and the mageseekers. Zeri and Ekko could see their war against the chembarons as bringing the light back to Zaun. Heck even DARIUS hand of NOXUS could see himself that way, bringing the Noxian light to all, even the unwilling.

They get brought into the fold against their will, but they are not slaughtered wholesale for being of a different nationality.

A whole country whose culture is built around magic (magical swords, dragon girl, a giant magical statue ready at beck and call and so much more) has the imperial power describe magic as heresy, finally gets its own hero to free itself and the binds on the minds of its people. I really recommend people to read up the lore its just so well made and how everything just fits together in the world of runeterra. TLDR : Amazing songs as always riot, we love you and your game. Keep them coming.
The complete irony of the entire situation in Demacia is that they have a higher birth rate of people who have magic because their entire fucking city acts as a large magic absorbing rod. That magic has to go somewhere. It doesn’t just sit in that petricite forever. It’s what screwed Demacia even more so when the Ruination happened because all of their buildings absorbed the dark magic of the mist and made it 100x easier for Demacia to get overrun as quickly as it did. But that’s a different topic for another day.
