There's something magical about black leopards.
We have to agree with you!
The melanin 💯
I can watch this animal for hours
@@VDR2612 Agreed! There's something magnetic about them... For me it is much the same as looking at an attractive woman... #notgonnalie :)
Yes there is!
Wish we could see more of them. They are absolutely gorgeous.
That's brilliant to hear! Great to know that you enjoy watching them 😄
They are my favorite, too!!!
@@LionWhispererTV I am wondering if kevins’s amazing nature and care of all his wonderful animals has had an influence on how their characters have developed over time?
I have 2 say i LOVE Georgie Porgie, Yum Yum Yum, Bobcat and Gabby (there my favourites) but 2 be completely honest I LOVE all the cats, Nikita and Coal are just GORGEOUS, what a fantastic channel this is it will be invaluable in the winter months what with covid 19 and thee economic downturn, you bring light and joy 2 us around the globe Kevin (& your team) JUST SIMPLY FAB!!!!!! XX 😁😁😄😄👍👍😉😉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
....outstanding to watch, simply 1st class! Thank you. 🙏🏽👍🏽
This is the purest channel on TH-cam. No ads, no money grabs, just a stunning and unique relationship between man and cat.
True! So many TH-cam stuff is flooded with adds..
Lol who wouldn’t watch the ads on this channel though... how else is he going to pay for meat for the leopards your watching
honestly, this is one of the channels that need that. We should get a pet-type product to sponsor them.
Those are w i l d animals beasts
Those are not for peting

Me too
th-cam.com/video/TYBav92Kj2Y/w-d-xo.html
BLM! :D
They’re stunning. Can’t imagine the feeling of being able to be that close to them. Amazing!
I’d poo my knickers tbh lol
Seriously though, I don't even want to be in the same room as an angry domestic cat let alone and large cat. So many emotions.
It would be fear and survival instinct in my case. I would never put myself within striking distance of a big cat no matter how tame they are claimed to be. They are some of nature's most advanced killing machines no matter how beautiful they may be.
I recognise that Kevin has that relationship though where he is part of their group. He is in a position of little to risk. But these great videos are close enough for me to appreciate them :p
Same!! I would give anything to have Kev’s relationship with his cats. So amazing and beautiful to see.
I'd be MORE than the conventional leopard...an EDUCATIONAL lep. for the next animal keepers....
You often see those guys, being so overconfident with big cats, and here is Kevin, having probably more experience then 20 of the others put together still being extremly concious and careful knowing, they are still wild animals, who could kill you in a matter of seconds if they so chose. Also the difference he sees and knows in Cole and Nikitas PERSONALITIES. This is just amazing!
I suppose he learned that Coal is not a cuddly cat applying good old 'trial and error' technique :)
You are absolutely spot on, interesting and great observations by you!
@@Mandrak789 not a terrible strategy if they're cubs, but I wouldn't want to apply that technique with a full-grown leopard ^^
What guys..?
Funny thing is that this also applies to domestic animals and humans. Stereotyping behavior comes with it’s own risks.
Coal teaches a very valuable lesson about trust and respect. You give respect in form of space, no restrictions or forced affection as humans often tend to do with pets. You receive trust in form of affection freely given and are welcomed into his territory. Wise cat. Wise human companion to listen and learn.
Well said
Nice puddycat.
I love so much the respect you have for these animals. I love the way you say you “have these animals in your care” and not “you have these animals”. And I love how you have dedicated your life to them. I’ve been following you for many many years and you truly are a beautiful human being. Thank you.
Appreciate that Abigail! Thanks for supporting us for so long! 🐾
@@LionWhispererTV I joined relatively recently, but I appreciate you and what you do very much. In fact, I have been a care giver to my friends' two senior indoor cats in their house for the last 3 years, every time they need to leave for more than a day. A week ago, they had to put one of the cats down due to a renal failure. His name was Rickie (I called him Ramses because of his majestic looks and personality) was pushing 100 in human years, pitch black and looking like a miniature of these gorgeous leopards (my fav wild cats)! He was Coal-like PLUS, in terms of untouchability by strangers with their hands, but would let me come close and give him some love with my head and cheek. I have a huge scratch scar on my left arm from about 3 years ago, when he got out of the house and I had to get hold of him to get him back in. I literally now treasure this mark from him and will do so for the rest of my life... as a reminder of Him and all that he taught me....... Much love and gratitude to you for who you are and what you do for these incredible creatures!!!
@@katnip2u One doesn't have much choice you either respect them or they kill you.
I absolutely agree! He is an absolutely wonderful human being. I’m new and am loving finding this great channel. I’d love to jump on a plane, visit the sanctuary, actually, stay permanently and just help out in whatever way I could. I’m 54, children off and living life and I’d love to spend my days just caring for all these great animals and would be proud to know this wonderful human being and support everything he is doing in whatever way I can! 😊
@@terarmy4767 I believe they have a program where they accept volunteers. Ck it out 🙂
What a special man. Not only does he love the animals but he can tune into their rhythms and understand their behaviour.
The respect Kevin gives these animals and they give him back.. It's so beautiful. ❤
Yeah till they kill him
@@PeterGriffin-bi3sg Humans have done a lot more killing in this world than animals. Humans are also good at destroying the environment. It's well documented.
@@catlover34fl really do you really have to be the oh actually guy
@@PeterGriffin-bi3sg do you have to be so negative it is rare that these animals would kill someone like Kevin the wild animals that kill their owners is because the owner is stupid and doesn’t understand when the animal whether a cat or some other wild animal is in a bad mood. They have body language that is easily readable.
The colour differentiation from different angles is just amazing!
You could see in Kevin's eyes that he thoroughly enjoys doing this work. He is one of the most grateful people with regards to establishing care and knowledge of the reality of care.
Leopards, seem to have a serious expression, they seem not to " smile " as the lions do.
To see the optics change like that is remarkable. Nature is the ultimate artists. Beautiful cats!
We couldn't agree more!
Who ever chooses the music for these videos is a genius in creating a feel-good atmosphere that always cheers up my mood
Glad you approve! 😀
Now this is how you respect an animal , if it is a big cat or a small cat ( like most of us have ) every animal deserves respect, i like this
I love meeting all the characters not just the lions but the leopards and hyenas also. I was just wondering Kevin, would you be able to do an #Ask Nikita just as you would an #Ask Meg. Just a thought for those who want to know leopards more in depth just like the lions. Very pretty cats!
We'll definitely consider it! Huge thanks for the support 😁
It will be great, #AskNikita is a good idea
Good idea but nikita is no meg 😄
I'd love to see it. Great suggestion!!✌🏾✌🏾
Yes, that is a great idea Kevin.
Kevin - It is such a pleasure to see your face, hear your voice and watch you enjoy your 'babies' and to show them off to us and enlighten us.
Everyday brings its problems in each of our Countries - that your videos have more meaning than you ever could have imagined when you began them...

That was well-said, thank you. 😀
@@ObamAmerican48 Hello Elizabeth - My Mother's name also Rest her Soul - Thank you for your kind response. I hope Kevin's videos give you the same pleasure, enjoyment and feeling of normality as they do for myself. Stay Safe and be Happy...

Looks like Kevin is taking care to watch and be well aware of Coal's intentions all the time. Not like he's afraid, but clearly he must respect him.
He doesn't want to get got lol
If he's not afraid, he's foolish
- An old couple
- He is self-interested and solitary
- She is affectionate and social.
So, Coal and Nikita are the Eustace and Muriel Bagg of the lion sancuary. 🤔
Beautiful animals, beautiful home, beautiful relationship ❤
Courage the cowardly dog show
Or she is bitchy and judgmental and he just keeps his head down and tries to avoid controversy. Lots of different old couples out there...
It hits too deep.

Hanging out with an animal is a privilege, not a right. Wild animals are very good at teaching humility and patience.
Humans are animals.
100% !!
Exactly, if anything humans are annoying to animals. Imagine if you were an animal and humans were always in your business.
@@MobileAura That’s not true. Animals are living beings just like us. Most, mammals of relative size at least, are very curious and interested about us. They actively seek out interaction. For example, I took my German Shepherd out on a kayak in the ocean once and dolphins would just swim close by and stare at her like, “What the...? WHAT IS THAT?!?”
We’re all just a bunch of curious critters 🥸
@@MobileAura Animals are annoying to other animals. Imagine if you were a mountain goat who just watched its sibling get hurled off the side of a cliff by an eagle.
No one is talking about what an absolute dreamboat Kevin is! Crazy. Handsome kind and loves animals.
jessi30 May not be talking, but sure are aware, make no mistake. I've been mesmerized by Kevin for at least 20 years. Not surprising, since my first crush was Tarzan, when I was ten, lol.
I think it comes as a reflection of his love of these animals, part of hisbeauty comes from within
His good soul shining through, that whats.amazes me.
He’s very doable.
It's amazing to see the stark connection between domesticated house cats and big cats-I see it all the time with my own cats.
When they bunch their muscles up, wiggle before pouncing, how their eyes contract against light....House cats really are like tiny versions of their larger relatives.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching 🐾
@Ribotto Studios: Couldn't agree more. The most remarkable thing I've noticed on both the former feral cats who adopted me.... are their tails. Unlike domestic cats like my 17 year old mini lion Leaky, both Loki & Silent Bob have tails as long as their bodies. Just like the melanistic leopards in the video. I've never seen domestic cats with tails that long.
Coal and Nikita are so beautiful with unique personalities!!
Their personalities really shine through, don't they? Thanks for watching!
This is why I like Kevin and his channel. No expectations, he gets to know each animal on their own basis and respects their wishes. :)
My cat Bella is alot like Nikita. She loves to come say hi, get some scratches and hang out. But, she's equally happy to do her own thing.
Mutual respect, it's a language all animals use. Super cool to see their personalities shine.
Leopards seem more aloof than the Lion's. Did Leopards live in Egypt, because I've seen pictures of them standing next to Pharos.
My cats are the same they have their individual personalities one is outgoing, mischievous, proper a lap cat who loves affection and she follows me everywhere I've tripped over her so many times but her sister is the opposite she's shy nervous and doesn't like being held or sitting on my lap she prefers to lay next to me and let me stroke her that way and when she's had enough she'll nip me or tap my hand with her paw she likes her space and affection on her terms and I totally respect that and don't force it.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I can hear them bickering like an old married couple. She just told Coal "stop sniffing my tail you old fart" he responded "don't flatter yourself woman" LOL so cute!
😂❤️ Thanks for watching Michelle!
I love Coal. He is like " you got no food?? Welp see ya then."
Cats are cats no matter the size lol
😂😂
Nikita hissing at him and at the same time the nice sweet cuddly girl... love that! 🖤🐾
To be honest, I just love seeing the animals up close - their faces, their eyes, their paws. The hyenas especially. Things we don't personally get to see. I could watch these simple interacting scenes for hours. Thanks Kevin! Love from Australia
I never realised how beautiful hyenas are until I saw a video of Kevin up close with them.
I did not know Black Leopards were not completely black. Thats a freaking revelation.
I didn't even know there was such a thing as black leopard, I always thought they were black Panthers or jaguars
@@WarTitan888 "Panthers" isnt really a species. It sometimes gets used for cougars (tho afaik there are no melanistic cougars). "Black Panthers" have always been black Leopards or black jaguars
I bet u didnt know that cheetahs are hybrids
It's the same for house cats. The Bombay Cat which looks completely black furred, thus makes it look like a mini-panther (as well as same shape of head like a real panther). When you see their fur or skin in a certain light angle, you see they are actually brown ish.
@@marktimmer2212 tf are you talking about they are their own genus, Acinonyx. Species is Acinonyx jubatus with five subspecies. Puma is the sister group.
I love the respect he has for all his animals. The wisdom and how much he understands the limits and boundaries he should have with them is amazing. I’m sure they love and respect him the same way.
Absolutely beautiful cats. Never heard or seen a Black Leopard till you introduced up to them. Thank You Kevin, Coal, and Nikita.
you can view this channels popular vid, there are quite few popular black leopard vid out there
@Eliza Grogan lucky you!
The leopards remind me of my house cats in their body language, vocalisations and temperament. Love them
Yes. I have two black cats. One older is like his cousin Coal. I get that look too, like I'm done with you right now. It's not your time, I'll get back to you later. His name is LJ, he has 24 claws, which allow him, like thumbs to open cabinet doors.
Very much. Also, I had a black mommy kitty bring her four kittens from a remote location to raise them pretty much in my front yard. Even her coloring took on highlights of red when she laid in the sunlight so I named her "Red".
It’s great how you respect their personalities and learn from them. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks Scott!
All creatures want to be respected. Sometimes, though, it's not always clear what respect means to a given individual - regardless of species! It's definitely a learning process. I think leopards are special. They're magnificent creatures! Great show!
Well said! Thanks for the support!
Gorgeous black leopards
The respect that is given is 100% returned to their caretakers....AMAZING humans and animals. So glad to see someone that is willing to dedicate their life and time to caring for them in the correct way.
I get the feeling that coals personality is realy valuable. In a world where we hopefully get more in contact with wild animals and where wild ones loose the fear of humans, i feel like an animal that prefers to stay at its own is realy healthy
I've worked with some wild animals, starting at an exotic animal drive-through park and it helped me understand that each has boundaries and are to be respected. Now I take care of a small colony of abandoned house cats in my m.h. park and see the same things. Each has their own tolerance and like to interact but it eventually takes a base line of personal limits and respect. I, too, accept that as healthy - we just don't need to control things like some are wont to do.
They are so gorgeous. I love how you respect them and just allow them to be themselves. You are a good human ❤️
Indeed.
Всі прекрасні! Всіх любимо! Божої ласки Вам та здоров'я, та Вашим неповторним тваринкам!
Завдяки таким, як Ви, світ ще тримається. Милосердя та доброта переможе.
Even as Kevin was talking about Coal wanting to be left alone as he was cleaning himself under the shady tree, I still saw Coal give Kevin the slow blink of acceptance (love?) That all big and small cats give their people. Totally breathtaking animals.
Black leopards are such amazing animals, this is really the best 'Meet the Characters' video

Thank you so much Simone, we're extremely lucky indeed!
It always fascinates me, what an amazingly close loving, respectful and trusting bond Kevin and his furry friends share. To know their personalities and quarks, to share the joy in spending time together. Nikita and Coal are both sweethearts and they look in great condition. Coal and Nikita look like kittens with their catnip, and Nikita running at 14:50 was awesome! 😍🐾❤💖
Would be a dream come true to just sit there like that and spend time with these magnificent beasts.
Panthers have been my favorite animal since I was little. They are so beautiful. Thank you 🖤
Nikita, what a beauiful animal, great to see that affection from a cat many would think dangerous
They're so beautiful.
They really are! Thanks for watching Kathryn 😁
@@LionWhispererTVHello. I'm a big fan
Just think, if we had a Kevin running every department of land management in the world, there would be no more habitat destruction, and no more loss of wild species. We humans might learn to consume only what we really need, and then this planet could be a virtual paradise.
I agree. We need a lot more Kevin’s in this world. The world would be a much better place. I think Kevin’s is a phenomenal human being.
Kevin's doing his bit and there are thousands others in other countries. Let's appreciate them all.
If only...
That would mean enlightenment of every person on the planet almost...
Elimination of psychiatric issues...
A general increase in logic intelligence and reasoning
We have to do what we can, I guess. Every little bit does help, it really does. It's a very nice thought.
(oh yeah and you should rephrase to "people LIKE Kevin" lol the poor man has enough on his hands already, we want him in good health too don't we :)
Unfortunately, humans also need to be willing to reduce population growth. People need shelter and food and clothing. These things require the use of lands and resources. Fewer people equals less pressure on the environment and wildlife.
@@joany11swatch14 Careful of the Liberal use of Kevin (It can mean something/someone else :) Prefer to say Kev, the LION WHISPERER - That's BETTER sigh.
Absolutely beautiful cats, it’s awesome that you can have that relationship with them
When I was a child (back in the 1970's), I enjoyed every single documentary about wildlife I got to watch on TV. After the internet started, and now with social media, there has been a complete revolution in the improvement of such programs. However, the way you deliver your videos is just unique. Moreover, all the valuable first-hand information that you so kindly and accurately provide on these majestic animals is great. I am definitely an admirer of conservationists and educators who devote their heart and soul to wildlife like you Kevin. Hats off on your great job!!! 👏👏👏
I know that they are still wild and dangerous animals but let's face it they are flat-out beautiful and I bet they feel like velvet. Wish I was there.
They do look soft and cuddly .
And very very nice to pet provided you get the opportunity to pet them. LOL
He said in another video that they feel like silk. They are super soft, unlike the lions and hyenas.
Yeah I think I remember that. Just another reason why I would love to be around one or two. Very very cool cats
Amazing man. What a relationship he has with these big cats.
Absolutely gorgeous, regal animals. Also, seeing their reaction to catnip just feeds right into something I've been saying for about 20 years now: Big or small, a cat, is a cat, is a CAT.
They have very attractive colour and body print...One of the most beautiful creatures on earth...😽❤❤
We think so too!

a lot of people think you are crazy for interacting with these animals like that, but clearly know know and understand them so well! It's pretty clear to me that you know exactly what you are doing. You can see when they want you to approach and touch them, and when they don't. For that reason, I don't think you are in ANY danger... Wild animals are not evil.. they are wild. They each have a different personality and different things they (dis)like. Knowing them on that level totally protects you I think.
Couldn't agree more, it's all about mutual respect between us and the animals and understanding boundaries 🐾

Like any cat, when they've had enough, they'll walk away.
Or chew off a finger
If only humans would learn from these amazing animals~ if we would walk away when we've had enough... our lives and relationships would evolve and not be so toxic!
walk away... with a body part in their jaws.
Or like a woman 😳😳😳😳😳
Felines and women have many similarities. Usually when women have enough and no longer want to be touched, held, etc.....they scratch you, lash out, hiss and/or walk away.
@camaroguy 66 what’s wrong with refusing to wear a mask?!! Just because you acquiesce and submit to everything you’re told without putting in any research of your own, doesn’t mean other people should too. A lot of us, myself included, know that face coverings not only reduce O2 levels but they also increase the amount of CO2 you’re inhaling back into your lungs. You know, because Carbon Dioxide is supposed to be expelled from your body, absorbed by plant/tree life and then recycled back into breathable Oxygen. It’s called the cycle of life and masks are not a natural part of this evolution.
When you wear face coverings for extended periods of time, that Co2 has nowhere to go but back into your lungs. After a while, even if you were perfectly healthy to start, the face masks will eventually cause respiratory issues.
So not only would you have mask-related Co2 poisoning, but the ER doctor would label you Covid-positive.
Just because you’re an idiot, doesn’t mean everyone else is 🙄🙄🙄😳😳
They are stunning animals. Very cool to see a close up look at them. The relationship you have with them is incredible
You are a blessed man, wish i could experience some of things you do. Thank you for recording the series for us to watch. Your a great human being with really great animals that gave me hours of pleasure by just watching you guys. Thank you

They all have great respect for each other.
I admire how much time you have spent getting to know each and every one of your animals and for respecting their boundaries. I am so glad to see these 2 old souls looking so relaxed and happy. I have always marveled at how trusting Nikita is with you! She is such a sweet heart. And grumpy old Coal is still very much a cat...wants to be aloof, but still has to come and check out what is going on in case he is missing out on something. This has been a great series, I love how diverse the personalities are at the sanctuary!!
