You will see him at the piano in a number of Dimash's performances, where he has composed a piece especially for Dimash's voice [ like their first stupendous collaboration together; 'Olympico': headline piece at the Opening Ceremony of the 2019 European Games ] or the one you've just mentioned; 'Stranger'. The Pianist here; Baigali Serkebayev wrote Sinful Passion with the original Lead Singer; Batyrkhan Shukenov; a famous Kazakh musician who sadly died in 2015. ( look up A-STUDIO }. Dimash is a great admirer of this band and singer. In this performance he adds - unbeknownst to the band - a traditional Kazakh mourning 'trill', as a mark of respect for Batyrkhan. If I’m not mistaken, this was one of the first times Igor Krutoy met Dimash before they began collaborating. Not the first reactors to note the similar appearance to Adam Driver, although the pianist from A-Studio is likely a bit older? (I’d have to check that.). Follow up: Baigali Serkebaev is 64 years old compared to Adam Driver’s 38 years old. Maestro Serkebaev has been active in music since 1982 (40 years!). Maybe we should say that Adam Driver resembles Maestro Serkebaev?

I’m glad you both came back to do another reaction on Dimash performance! The last one I saw you first reacted was with his Olimpico and you seemed very disappointed because it was “Opera”. What I mostly enjoy watching your reactions is your sense of humor which sometimes turns to self sarcasm, your raw honesty and the same humility we can see in Dimash. Btw, this performance is around 2 years after The Singer competition in China that put Dimash right in the global stardom with 600 million followers in one night with his SOS version, Adagio, Hello, Show must go on etc. The reason this downward run is so hard, apart from just having belted for over 20 secs on a freakin C5-D5-E5 --> Bb5, is that it's a pentatonic run, so its harmony is way too hard as it's not on the normal minor scale that the song transposes to. He is even better now as you have noticed in the Stranger or Ave Maria reactions of yours.

Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. His name is Baigali Serkebayev and he's the front man for an extremely popular Kazakh rock/pop group called A-Studio. They are based in Russia but from Kazakhstan, and now they often perform with Dimash. In that part of the world, this would be like The Stones meeting a 24 year old singer and deciding to re-arrange their biggest hit and then go on tour with him as the backup band. A huge gesture of admiration for Dimash, and recognition of his talent from respected elders in his musical world.

The Adam Driver guy is actually the song’s composer. The band A-Studio was popular years ago and made up of Russian Kazakhs. The lead singer has already passed away. Dimash covered this past hit, but of course added his own twist!
And yes, the bald guy in a white shirt is indeed the “piano guy”, Igor Krutoy. This was the first time he heard Dimash sing and as you can see, was impressed enough to give him a standing ovation! The two then went on to partner in a string of hit songs.

You will see him at the piano in a number of Dimash's performances, where he has composed a piece especially for Dimash's voice [ like their first stupendous collaboration together; 'Olympico': headline piece at the Opening Ceremony of the 2019 European Games ] or the one you've just mentioned; 'Stranger'.
The Pianist here; Baigali Serkebayev wrote Sinful Passion with the original Lead Singer; Batyrkhan Shukenov; a famous Kazakh musician who sadly died in 2015. ( look up A-STUDIO }. Dimash is a great admirer of this band and singer. In this performance he adds - unbeknownst to the band - a traditional Kazakh mourning 'trill', as a mark of respect for Batyrkhan. Many people pause at this point and ask; 'What was that!?' But the band and every Kazakh listener knew. How they kept playing after that I don't know! But they did and, in any case Dimash didn't let them, or anyone else including himself draw breath, as he took off into one of the longest & most complex runs anyone has ever done or heard. Yes - on the one breath.... Incredible. Leaves us all breathless - wordless - amazed. The finest vocalist on the planet, without a doubt.

I managed to see Stranger before it was blocked, loved it! If I am not mistaken you guys are the first ones that in early Dimash reactions saw Igor in the audience. If I’m not mistaken, this was one of the first times Igor Krutoy met Dimash before they began collaborating. Not the first reactors to note the similar appearance to Adam Driver, although the pianist from A-Studio is likely a bit older? (I’d have to check that.).
Follow up: Baigali Serkebaev is 64 years old compared to Adam Driver’s 38 years old. Maestro Serkebaev has been active in music since 1982 (40 years!). Maybe we should say that Adam Driver resembles Maestro Serkebaev?

I’m glad you both came back to do another reaction on Dimash performance! The last one I saw you first reacted was with his Olimpico and you seemed very disappointed because it was “Opera”. As you follow Dimash, you’ll find out that he sings different genres of music. He was trained classically so he will never forget to sing operatic styles.

What I mostly enjoy watching your reactions is your sense of humor which sometimes turns to self sarcasm, your raw honesty and the same humility we can see in Dimash. Btw, this performance is around 2 years after The Singer competition in China that put Dimash right in the global stardom with 600 million followers in one night with his SOS version, Adagio, Hello, Show must go on etc. The reason this downward run is so hard, apart from just having belted for over 20 secs on a freakin C5-D5-E5 --> Bb5, is that it's a pentatonic run, so its harmony is way too hard as it's not on the normal minor scale that the song transposes to. He is even better now as you have noticed in the Stranger or Ave Maria reactions of yours.

Nice reaction 😁 Dimash sings many genres : pop, rock, folk, crossover, opera and even raps a bit. The majority of his songs are simple (in a normal range without any acrobatics) and they are very beautiful. He doesn’t need to do crazy stuffs to be great ! Try some of his Kazakh songs, they are my favourites : Samaltau, Qairan Elim, Daididau, Amanat, Qaraim-ai …. They are Dimash’s soul.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

I don't know how many times I watched this trying to figure out who the keyboardist looks like!!! FYI he is the person who wrote this song. His name is Baigali Serkebayev and he's the front man for an extremely popular Kazakh rock/pop group called A-Studio. They are based in Russia but from Kazakhstan, and now they often perform with Dimash. In that part of the world, this would be like The Stones meeting a 24 year old singer and deciding to re-arrange their biggest hit and then go on tour with him as the backup band. A huge gesture of admiration for Dimash, and recognition of his talent from respected elders in his musical world.

Hes an extremely well known composer in Russia, tho hes Ukrainian. He was a retired billionaire who after seeing Dimash came out of retirement just to strictly work with Dimash. The A Studio Band originally did this song, a little more upbeat. They are backing him in this performance. The 'yodeling' type chant he did there is a memoriam to one of the band members who passed away.
