I will make a video to clarify this because people who don't watch a lot of my videos don't understand......MY HUSBAND HELPS OUT TREMENDOUSLY! Everything I mentioned in the video, he does too (minus the hair)! We both work full time and we BOTH do housework. I wouldn't have the time to create content for youtube if he didn't. Just to be clear! This video was intended for anyone who feels overwhelmed.

Have you always worked full time, even when your kids were babies? New mom here, who went back to work a few months ago (baby is 6 months). I'm struggling with mommy guilt for working outside the home and sending him to daycare. He is in a wonderful daycare, and financially it does make sense for me to continue working at this time, but it is still tough. Maybe you could do a video on this and share your thoughts!

This works! Thanks for sharing. I used this chart when my kids were little and it really helped me to focus on what actually needed to get done. I think the most important thing when juggling all the demands on your time is not to expect too much of yourself. A long to-do list can be overwhelming, prioritising is key. If there's a mum anywhere who hasn't sat down in tears, feeling completely swamped with everything they are trying to do, I'd be amazed. Feed them, clothe them, let them know that you love them; then give yourself a pat on the back - you're doing a great job. Everything else is just icing on the cake, and sometimes we try to manage too much icing! My friend used to call me supermum because I baked fancy birthday cakes and sewed fancy dress costumes for my kids, but she didn't see how much of the day-to-day stuff I struggled with or realise how inadequate I felt as a parent when I looked at other mums (which you should never do). My advice for any parent of young children would be 1) prioritise, 2) celebrate what you DO get done, 3) remember to breathe and enjoy your family ❤

That was helpful and good. It is really hard to decipher sometimes which thing to do next. I think I'd like to show this video to my husband too. Because sometimes men just don't understand everything on a woman's plate. I know other moms get that! Not that men don't work superhard also. It's just that women's work is different and feels overwhelming because it's so varied & all over the place. We're the butcher, the Baker, and the candlestick maker's! And everything else.....career women, women with interests other than work and home, and women who like to perhaps do something just for their own as well!

Thank you so much for sharing. I am a mother of 3. I work a full time job as well and find it extremely hard to balance it all. But I’m curious how to do avoid burn out and make time for yourself. Motherhood is definitely no easy task, but you are truly an inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

I learned this quite a while ago from Steven Covey. I never realized it was from Eisenhower. I like how you put specifics (like 1 week). I haven't used this technique in a while and I suddenly feel like I need to revisit it. Thanks!

Thank you so much for this. I have never seen this chart process! I have moderate to severe adult-onset ADD. My brain is always going going going and I usually fail to prioritize and utilize time management skills correctly & seem to get anxiety over everything, big or little tasks. With children that's definitely a daily struggle that I can see would benefit from doing this! Love your videos, keep it up girl. 💜

The Flylady system's "Basic Weekly Plan" has helped me. Basically you have set purpose to each day of the week. For example one day is for cleaning, planning/desk day, errands etc. It gives me focus & stops me running out to the shops, just to pick up one thing. If you want more details, check out Diane in Denmark's youtube channel, she is excellent at explaining the system.

I JUST read about something like this in a goals book on setting priorities. On the difference between importance and urgency: Importance has to do with impact and urgency has to do with time. I'm thinking that not important, not urgent category is delegated or outsourced (if possible).

Thanks for the video. Definitely going to try it out. I work outside of home full time. 2 boys, one who plays school and travel basketball and the other has ADHD so he needs extra attention for school. I delegate the cooking to hubby (I don’t cook well and I don’t like it) but for those that husbands don’t cook, they can definitely fold clothes. It is about team work. However, when I feel too overwhelmed, I take a “sick day” which I like to call “mental health day” and focus on my home that day or whatever is pressing that need to get done and I reset my mind that day. It is about trying to find balance. It is hard mommas but we are doing the best we can!

This is always a nice way to organize tasks. At the same time it's always my problem that the Non Important/Non Urgent always gets pushed back and pushed back and then those things either never get done or my house looks like a shambles. 😂 And, things fall through the cracks and then I have to pile it all into my weekends. This is an old video - but maybe someone has thoughts on this. 🧡 Just suck it up and learn to love a mess? 😂

I really like this style of content! I have heard of the matrix but don't always apply it. I would like to see maybe a glimpse (censor important info) into your daily planner. What are your daily goals, (i.e gym, water intake, vitamins, meal prep, etc) also more into the balance act of being a wife and mom. It is hard to have "me time" give my kids "mom time" and "husband / couple time"

  • @valinarudolph378

I'm having a hard time getting into a daily routine. My husband works a rotating schedule and I set my work schedule around his so someone is available to pick up the kids in the evening. I get home at a different time every day, and need to adapt my evening "routine" accordingly. Because of this I'm never really into a real routine, my life is very reactionary. I'd like to find a way to be mores proactive despite my schedule. Any advice?

I used to do this all the time in the workplace. The evening struggle is so real. My eldest gets home and we have to do all the evening things in 2 hours for when she needs to be in bed to do it all over again. Looking forward to maybe one day where she doesn’t need to be in bed so early.

I understand that every family and situation is different, but if you have a spouse or a partner, they should be sharing 50% of this responsibility. The way you describe it, it's like you are the boss "here husband, do these things", shouldn't this be something you do as a family every week. I know working moms who do everything at home and carry all of the responsibility for the kids and the husband comes home from work and sits on his butt on his phone. Maybe I am just very lucky to have a husband who shares all of the household and child care responsibilities.

I have a 3 month old and I'm a FTM. I'm struggling with find8ng time to do things where the little man isn't occupying all of my time. He has torticollis (tight neck muscles) and is in physical therapy too - so I have all these exercises to do with him and I'm supposed to keep him out of bouncers, saucers, walkers, and avoid laying him on his back as much as possible. So I feel like I can never get stuff done and by the end of the day, I just want to crash into bed.
