    here is what i did, I used a #4 yarn, and #13 gauge knitting needle, I tried a #15 needle, that was too big, went back to the #13 needle, that seemed to look the best, you are correct, pretty easy to make this lace pattern, only 2 sts, my kinda pattern, I will make a few feet, then switch over to other color yarns for gifts. Thanks again for showing how to do this. And the double needle works great for the CO.

    Thanks for this extra easy pattern. I am a newbie to knitting and found this to be something I can follow and add to my list of knitting. This gives me something extra when I don't feel like crocheting... Thanks.

    Hi there. I've just came across your site, and I think it's great! I'm a fairly new knitter, and I'm able to follow along because of the way you explain things. If you should happen to have an EASY poncho tutorial, for a toddler, that would be great!

    I've learned that it's not the size of the stitch that helps avoid a tight cast-on; it's actually the space between the stitches. Try casting on and leaving extra space between each stitch.

    Tks. I am using thin but irregular textured home-spun yarn just to use it up. Am surprised how nice it is looking. I still have to concentrate which stitch I'm up to, but can find out by going to other end of row - ending in the two knits - and then jumping along the row identifying the 'knits' so I know what is my next stitch. This happens when I'm interrupted or have lost concentration. Also found, if I've somehow increased, it is pretty easy to 'undo' so it can be righted again. Bye.

    looks lovely. what needle size should be used for lace /fingerling yarn ?

    • @jleet9758
      @jleet9758 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im using 3.25mm (3) for fingering. If you want more drape go up 1 or 2 sizes. Really depends on what yarn fiber. Swatch and see. I am working on a lace sweater/pull over.

    After seeing that "one row repeat playlist" I couldn't click subscribe fast enough. I'm an experienced knitter, but omg I hate....HATE...patterns that require so much effort to not get lost. Multiple row repeats are fine but those sneaky ones where it's easy to get lost....nope. nope. nope. lol

    hi there, I am a beginner and was wondering if you knit or purl together does that then decrease the pattern? answers very welcome, please.

    • @AmandaSmith-jz1jc
      @AmandaSmith-jz1jc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Samantha Richards since you are yarning over before the purl, it doesn't decrease. If you did not yarn over before knitting/purling two together, it would decrease by one for each set of 2 stitches stitched together.

    how can it be called garter stitch if it contains both K AND P stitches? should be all one or the other.

  • @sunflower_s0ul
    @sunflower_s0ul 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just don’t get it because the stitches get smaller & smaller since you have to Purl 2 together.

    • @m2ym2y99
      @m2ym2y99 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But when you purl you are adding an extra wrap/stitch when you are yarning over instead of just moving the yarn to the front, which replaces the one lost in the "purl 2 together ". Hope that helps.
