    Thanks for this. I was knitting a shawl that has a beautiful lattice work pattern just over the last 10”. The pattern was a 56 row repeat and after 3 attempts I gave up and adapted this Irish lace to the pattern portion instead. It looks awesome! Thanks again 🤩

    Thanks for the video - it's amazing how one word can help oneself figure something out. I was struggling with the YO, PSSO and always kept getting 2 missing stitches... Just saying where I am to look for the stick was super handy... Thanks.

    Could you please do a video about how you purl. When you started to show purling I couldn't see enough to tell. I have trouble finding a comfortable style for me. I can do the Norwegian purl stich and that is comfortable but it stretches some yarns. Thank you.

    Thanks so much for this, but I have a question. Would this be possible to turn into a pattern for circular needles? I'm a newbie, but would like to try this on an infinity scarf.

      You would k the second row I think because here your purling the wrong side but in the round you don’t

    I'd like to make a shopping bag out of that stitch. Do you have any ideas on patterns and maybe the texture of you're mine. Or should it be kind of like a rope like yarn? I love the pattern! And nicely done.

    I kept gaining a stitch here and there. It spoilt the diagonal pattern. I ended up unraveling it. Before I try again, are there any hints of tips?

    how many / what are the multiples of, that are necessary for the foundation row?

    • @EsmereldaPea
      @EsmereldaPea 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stitch pattern is a multiple of 3, so you would add your border stitches to any multiple of 3.

    Is it 3row pattern or one?

    • @EsmereldaPea
      @EsmereldaPea 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's 2 rows with a shift every right side row. I believe this would make it a 6-row pattern since it's a three-stitch repeat.

    Hi
    Lovely and simple stitch.
    I’m a beginner. I’m making a scarf using 3 ply acrylic and number 8 needles.
    My scarf is rolling. It doesn’t lay flat. I don’t know how to fix this. I’ve made almost 45” now.
    Please help me.

    • @TheBlueMouseKnits
      @TheBlueMouseKnits  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would suggest either steaming your scarf with an iron on steam mode or a steamer to see if you can't make the stitches relax and lay more flat, BUT! Be careful, don't get your iron too close to the fabric and definitely don't put it on the scarf because it will melt the yarn. Acrylic yarn is plastic so it'll melt and be ruined. Hold it a little ways away from the scarf and you should be good. You could also try washing and blocking your scarf if the steaming doesn't work, though I definitely suggest trying the steaming first. Hope that helps!

      @EsmereldaPea 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to add a garter or seed stitch border - it can be as small as 2-3 stitches. This will keep the edges from rolling.

      @@EsmereldaPea Thank you very much. I added a crochet border so it's okay now. Problem solved 😊

    I have a Question!!
    How do I do this stitch in the round?

    • @EsmereldaPea
      @EsmereldaPea 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would just knit every 2nd row instead of purl on wrong side.

    When I've seen this video I imagined triangle shaped shawl for myself with this stitch. But how to do it? Is it even possible?

    • @CraigsOverijse
      @CraigsOverijse 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idalia yes it would be possible but a bit tricky because it’s a four stitch pattern that moves but as long as you kept the pattern over the right stitches which you can use stitch markers to indicate I imagine you could fudge the edges by plain k any st that don’t make a whole repeat. You could start with the point so 2 stitches and make one each end first by k back and front in the st. then commence the pattern the third row maybe and you can them either add one stitch each end every row or more usual ea h end of every right side depends what you like. Alternatively start wide with the width you like and decrease a stitch each end of every other row but I would get to know your pattern first knit a swatch so you can see how this pattern works

    • @EsmereldaPea
      @EsmereldaPea 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CraigsOverijse A four-stitch pattern? It's a 3-stitch:
      Yo, SL1 purlwise, K2, PSSO. You start with 3 stitches and end with 3 stitches.
