As a ride afficionado, I find it darn-near impossible to find any footage (or even pictures) of the flatrides that were at Keansburg during the early-to-mid 80s. There were some classic rides that I remember (a Himalaya that got a jungle-themed paint job, a Twister, a Rock-O-Plane, a Trabant, among many others) that I simply cannot find. Commenting about it here just as a note.
Roger- My family took us kids there in the 60s. Does anyone recall a Gypsy Fortune Teller booth on the boardwalk? A sharp woman would sit sternly in front, high heels, jewelry, and legs crossed, with popping eyes and a serious, intense facial expression. It was called "Madame Pauline: Reader and Advisor." Does anyone remember this?
Thanks Roger for putting this video together I grew up in Portmonmouth in 70s 80s. Enjoyed watching!!!
