2012 Cadillac CTS 2 door smart fob program

Now in this video the most important part is within the first few minutes.
I was able to turn the vehicle on with the customers board After I put it into a new shell but there was a broken chip on it and it didn’t work far a way. So in the video I only showed you part of the program process. So I added the new key fob after I made this video and it took 12 minutes and I was instructed by the programmer to turn the key into the door trunk lock six times it doesn’t have to be open or closed and the programming started in added the new one

All you ended up doing was swapping out the circuit board. You didn't program anything? 😀

I have a 2011 cadillac cts coupe and I lost my the front portion of my key fob a week ago with the buttons and the circuit board. I still have the emergency key and the back portion with the logo though. I was wondering if I bought an oem keyfob from someone on ebay with a similiar car and remote if I could just take that buttons part off of it off along with the circuit board and just put it onto the part I have left and put it into the console and make the keyfob relearn like you're doing. I bought an aftermarket one from Ebay and tried to program it in the console but it's not relearning it. Thank god I also have a spare key fob. I lost it while at work and had to take an Uber back home and pick up this spare to get it started.

Did you use the xtool in the end? And did you have to choose all keys lost?

So in this one I had to go to all keys lost smart key and used the key to turn in the trunk 12 mins is all it took. If you didn’t use the programmer you can still do it by inserting the fob in the slot and turning the key in trunk 6 times and go press the button and wait ten mins and press again wait ten mins and press again. But auto pro pad if yours is updated should do it in 12 mins

What tool did you use to program the fob?
I have a 2013 cts luxury I can't program it with the manual instructions. I have to take mine to the dealer or locksmith and Id rather buy the machine and do it myself. I just don't know what equipment to buy.

The equipment is too expensive you have to get a locksmith to do it
