Dupes and fakes are not the same thing. I worked in fashion PR and an item has to have 7 'points of difference'. If they can make it with 7 differences then it's not a fake, it's just similar. Dupes aren't a bad thing, it just means an item that has the same desired effect as another, but usually at a lower price and therefore accessible, driving demand for the original if anything.

Finally getting caught up on Haul Week. Loving them so far. I'm with you on the dupe issue. I think as long as there's no actual branding on the item it's ok. I'm pretty sure the Chanel version of those shoes have the "CC" on the pearl, don't they? What's really funny is back in the 1940s/50s/60s, department stores and boutiques could purchase the patterns for designer items and make and sell them as lower cost versions. So you could get a Dior suit dress at Macy's and it would be labeled "Dior for Macy's" or something like that. Jackie Kennedy's pink suit was pretty much the same thing, it was an official Chanel pattern but made in the US. Over the years, design houses started cracking down and keeping more of the control, but there's still clearly a market for it. Like the Target and H&M collaborations. I've always thought it seemed like a lost sales opportunity for the high end fashion. The dupes are going to be out there, they may as well make some money off it rather than complain about fakes and copyright infringement. Anyway, that's a long ramble, sorry Josie, lol. On to the next video. And my new Touchbar is being glitchy, so I'll just say my favorite flower is peony. ;)

Such an amazing haul 🌺 I saw that handbag with palm print on your Instagram and I thought that print looked very familiar. When you mentioned in this video that it's from New Look, I realized that it's because I have trainers with exactly same print from New Look.

Love your style esthetic and you do such a lovely job on your videos. Flower?? Hmmm, while the plant can be a bit scraggly (at least the plants in my pots in Canada) I love the small but beautiful bloom of a nemesia.
Just an FYI... a little bit of Barbesol shaving cream on a toothbrush (then wipe off dry) gets dirt/sweat marks out of suede. It's often used for carpet stains as well. Won't work on ink, but works well for several other stains. I've tried it many times.. PS: The shein shoes with the pearl.... do they stay on your feet? I find that mules without some additional strap fly off my feet when I walk... LOL. They seem to have a very high top for the bridge of the foot so maybe that helps???
