If you're wondering why minecarts don't instantly fly away with infinite speed, it is because the code limits how much the minecart can move every tick. (Yes, this means Mojang can make minecarts faster by changing exactly one (1) number) - เกม

Relogs in singleplayer is fine, not sure about multiplayer

I was testing what would happen if two minecarts with infinite and opposite Motion collides
take the infinity and the -infinity
then smash together those two different expression of value to create and push out imaginary velocity

It may be useful for a minecart elevator? Since it won't fall to the ground and won't move? But it takes a long time to set up tho

Of course! One idea I have is one of those old minecart chair, but if you actually try to sit in it you die instantly or something lol
Sadly i play on Bedrock so the bug most likely doesnt work, whoever the sheer potential of a NaN velocity minecart on the interaction with other entities like ender pearl and stuff could be mind blowing
You should try it. Floating point velocities should have similar behavior, the only reason it shouldn’t generally work is if bedrock prevents the collisions from infinitely speeding up

So we've seen what NaN tnt minecarts do. What do infinite momentum tnt minecarts do?!
They move forward forever. Even with cobweb, unpowered rail, uphill, etc. I had a demonstration in the description

Also, do the NaN tnt minecarts do NaN damage to entities? Is it possible to cause another entity to have NaN health?
@@marckiezeender tnt minecart explosion power is capped, so it won’t go anywhere near that (if it isn’t the game will try to break infinite number of blocks and crash lol). Similarly, NaN explosion will have an NaN range, which if that didn’t crash the game it’s most likely set to 0 (I’ll verify that actually)
I think it’s possible to use the infinite momentum in some meaningful way, I just yet to find anything that works. If you find something I’d love to know!

The piston goes back, so you’ll have to press the button again. It is possible to make something that does continuous damage though
Might be possible to do this in survival by having minecarts fall onto the rails.
And if so, I know exactly how to build my next base.

I tried to say survival... but somewhy wrote like that. And I think if it's possible in creative, then with a lot of minecarts, it's possible in survival.

Well in the video I used “/data get entity @e[type=minecart,limit=1,sort=nearest] Motion”, which returns the Motion nbt for the closest minecart
