that intro is honestly my favourite music Zach has made (as someone who doesn’t like prog-jazz lol) - definitely heavy breakcore vibes but so fresh ala Eli Keszler or Yussef Dayes
This was my first kit and it’s awesome. Every pad is super customizable and it lasted for thousands of hours of me beating the crap out of it before the cymbal and mesh heads and pedal sensers burned out.
I haven't messed with an Alesis kit before but you might be able to switch the ride and crash triggers in the settings somewhere, then you could just flip the cables and set em up wherever
You can. And then you can save it as a custom kit. You just change the "voice" number in the settings. eg Crash cymbals might be voices 250-265. You just hit "voice" on the module, then hit the cymbal or pad you want to change (this selects it) and then scroll the number to 250 on the module.
Ive had nothing but fun and great experiences with my old Alesis DM10, hooked it up to my pc last year and since then im playing through SSD5. Most fun ive had with about 600 usd
Now this is a good review. I'm 43 and have always wanted to try drums. I've been looking at this before because of the Drumeo subscription and the low cost.
My first kit was an alesis ekit, but even that was too loud for my housemates so I could only practice when they were all out. I do think I got the most mileage out of the kit by using my own sounds through a daw rather than the ones that came with the kit itself
I couldn’t stop laughing because of Gokus rage mode! 😂 Sick what you’ve got out of those little things. I bet they sell this kit for twice as much, since you were the first to play it. 💪🏻
Acoustic will always be better to those whom the synesthesia between “hear” and “feel” is very apparent. I missed out of having a set of my own till my twenties thanks to being a snob about it. Now, not as stupid as I once was I’ve got an older/downstep model nitro kit and iibh I could give a positive for every negative thing about it…or a simple, easy workaround at least 😂
The problem is after a couple months when the sensors don’t pick everything up. Then it’s quickly only useful to go thru the motions. But $400, still is a good deal for a kit you can beat up for years. Even without sound
I just clicked on the video for those biceps. Oh, and to say it's awesome you use hearing protection on mIngus. Oh, I love my Alesis Surge kit. I added more pads and cymbals. It keeps me sane in times of need.
E-kits tend to be overhated by people who haven’t used them much or don’t have a need for them. Many people need them for living situations and such and they are also good for practice and having access to a LARGE LIBRARY of drum sounds and you can get all your cool electro and R&B and orchestral sounds. The better Roland models are really nice
When is Everything Yes coming to Florida??!! Orlando is a good spot....middle of the state, lots of hotels, attractions for you and the boys in the band.....maybe check the Beacham Nightclub for a booking...
@@joshgiannini1804 I know, but it's a very old type of USB cable that literally only printers and e-drum kits use for MIDI, so I get why he called it that.
Grabbing one of these around the holidays to put down drum tracks on my album and once I build the drum studio and that finished in a year or so will keep the kit and modify it as triggers for other items the drums don't cover like Danny Carey does. Long goal for my mid life crisis lol I miss playing on a real kit. Just stay away from simmons though. Too much cross talk triggers were trash. Always has a better reputation and they nitro seems the best deal. Just something to track with you know? Plus I got a killer set in the addictive drums 2 waiting for it
Back when I lived in a apartment my neighbor got on of them Rock Band kits for there play stations or xboxes and all I'd hear is the drums tapping and the foot pedal thumping all night long and I'd bang on the wall shouting "have loud sex like normal people and get it over with already!" so yeah depending on the quality of the apartment complex your neighbors will still hear it.
Yo im planning on buying this kit cuz, first im a student of my own. Ive been playing drum for the past 11 years (since 5 years old) Second, even though im at a professional level i am not in a situation to afford mad expensive kits, also i dont wanna disturb my roommate. So right to keep in touch with practice, im planning to buy this Would really appreciate the advice
Man with stuff available like Superior Drummer 3 and the Roland TD27's hihat, edrums aren't what they used to be. They're more and more becoming just acoustic kits that are easier to control the volume of.
do you plan on uploading that video about the china e kit that kept falling apart or since they disapproved of that video are you not able to upload it due to legal reasons?
Can someone explain to me how I can run different samples that I purchased rather than the ones in the module like Zack did? I can’t seem to figure it out lol
I love how he can use his band's original songs as an outro. And they go unbelievably hard.
No more copyright strikes 🤣🤣
@@ZackGrooves Outro song name?! That shit slaps
Time Machine, by Everything Yes @@9Coronas
Wow just like adam neely
@9Coronas everything yes - time machine
Zack is like my dad, he makes me happy for 7 minutes and then leaves for 20 years
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 very nicely said.
"I'll be back. I need some more cow bell"
🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂
Who’s mom? The one that’s always there but kinda boring?
That lo-fi drum and bass at the beginning was wild.
breakcore basically
that intro is honestly my favourite music Zach has made (as someone who doesn’t like prog-jazz lol) - definitely heavy breakcore vibes but so fresh ala Eli Keszler or Yussef Dayes
I primarily use E-Kits because of my living situation. Really fun to use, and definitely variety with their features and sounds.
God damn it is robotic how clean your chops are

Ya know… idk why I didn’t think of that 🤣🤣 much appreciated 💪
I was wondering about this because I play open handed like a bonobo
that's the magic of ekits. you can just assign things as you like (depending on the module, of course)
You can. And then you can save it as a custom kit. You just change the "voice" number in the settings. eg Crash cymbals might be voices 250-265. You just hit "voice" on the module, then hit the cymbal or pad you want to change (this selects it) and then scroll the number to 250 on the module.
i need more reviews from this young chap
I got you 🙏

You should see the prototype Alesis electronic kit El Estapario is demoing. It's pretty beastly. It's much different looking than the one you have.
crazy vid enjoyed every second
Now this is a good review. I'm 43 and have always wanted to try drums. I've been looking at this before because of the Drumeo subscription and the low cost.
You could probably just use a regular 1/4in cable to make that crash reach farther. One end into module other into cymbal trigger.
After 16 years I finally got my first kit and it was this exact one you unboxed lol , I’m so happy to have a set to play on 😭
Congrats mate! let´s rock it 🤘🏾
A whole new era of zack is coming.
He constantly seems to improve, and he's getting pretty damn fit and jacked too👍
First David uploads abt his e drums, now zack. Gotta love it
My first kit was an alesis ekit, but even that was too loud for my housemates so I could only practice when they were all out. I do think I got the most mileage out of the kit by using my own sounds through a daw rather than the ones that came with the kit itself
That intro needs to be a full song!
dang, imagine if you made the kick trigger something like the randomize option on transit so it changes the the effects on the mix
great review you and your brother make the best videos

Love your stuff dude
I appreciate that!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT INTRO THO??? 🔥🔥🔥
an if u move ur snare pad around u can set the rim to a different sound like a ride
Again innovating, not a Alexis fan but you've showed me something different I can do with my roldand v6 kit
The problem is after a couple months when the sensors don’t pick everything up. Then it’s quickly only useful to go thru the motions. But $400, still is a good deal for a kit you can beat up for years. Even without sound
Mhmm 🤔 thanks for your input!
the solution is just a second hand roland kit and just run EZDrummer, its a banger deal
Been playing an old alesis nitro for years and years with no issues...
I love that snare at 4:58.
I have both an acoustic kit and an alesis ekit and i love them both but GOD DAMM acoustic drums my beloved
Acoustic drums can take my girl 😮💨
@@ZackGrooves acoustic drums got me acting strange 🤤
i have an alesis and i love it. great kits
Please go on tour in Cali
Oh imma be at the Rockwood in Boston come February bruh!
ur option for the crash is moving the drum module, thats what I did and its worked so far
Bro just has to flex how good he is (hes better than I'll ever be)

Ok that intro was a jd beck jr awesome intro!
PEEPS! He plays super clean, but you can also eat off his floors with all those floor cleaning tools in the background.. 😂 Nice one as always Zach
The first song is pretty cool!
Omg wow
i play an ekit because i dont have space for a real kit but its not horrible if you get a decent kit. later on i'll try to get the strike pro se kit
Bro is JACKED
LMAO @ Zack flexing as hard as he possibly could in the thumbnail
Am I tho ? 🤔
I have a strike pro kit and my only complaint is the snare, im sure with some private snare samples the kit can come together no problem
that was a toonami intro at the beginning 😭😭 so dope
I used to have my first electronic drum tabletop kit called Yamaha DD-65, but now I got my first electronic drum kit called Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit!

I missed you a lot, thanks for the video, I needed to see a video of yours, Much success
I’ve missed you too 🥹
You should try the Roland kits with the mesh heads.
You’re not dealing with the average saiyan drummer any more!
Key takeaway of this informative video:
Zack's single bicep is bigger than both of my legs together.
beta male
The Goku beat at the beginning goes unreasonably hard
broooo thatss sickk!!!!!!!

I don't know why, but him calling it a printer cable made me laugh hysterically.
I mean, it's not not a printer cable

Danggggg that's wild
Beginning of the video ready for Zack goofiness on the drums *drops the hardest edit ever*

I really hope Benny Greb sends you his GGD Benny Greb drum library
bro i want that beginning in spotify bro pleaseeee
This is what I would have to get if I learned drums. Space and sound... and cash all divided by time.

hey love ur videos. could you review this drum (if u still have it) with the ml sound lab drum vst?
Amazing! :)
I mostly don't like electronic drums, but synthetic kick sounds dope
the Goku beat sounds like an old adult swim commercial
This the realest part of the video 2:48
love u bro

Love the outro song, what’s the title/name of the song at the last part?

Man alesis drums are great. I just wish they didn’t break like crazy.
How does this compare to Titan 50? What was the Chinese kit you reviewed and had to send back and not get paid on. Was it the Titan?
doesn't the snare moving bother you ? mine moves like that i hate it, feel like it's always too low and flimsy
I would buy a separate snare stand that’s what I did
How do you get to load samples onto the kit? I have an alesis crimsin mesh kit but i dont what programs i need
wanna make e-drum kit tuning video? would be pretty useful

Agreed, I have a TD-27 An it's fire🔥
How’d you manage to fix the latency when connected to a daw? Even with using Asio4all mine still lags a bit
Alesis is a good starter e-drum kit. Roland is where the actual fun begins.
Wait till you see what Alesis and Estepario are doin😮
