I’ve found cutting things small have made such a HUGE difference for me to enjoy veggies more. More flavour in every bite, more opportunity to pick up seasonings or sauces, and just a smoother mouthfeel overall! Highly recommend that
Me too, it’s like how restaurants do it
The salad comes from a city( shiraz )of Iran 😊 that’s why called shirazi salad

😂 after you eat salad for awhile your taste changes ans wings are greasy and not good to you anymore . I was amazed . I used to love wings but it was rhe fat and the sauce I liked so I make cauliflower wings . So much better and guilt free for me
Buffalo chicken salad is a thing...
Eat the wings with the salad.
People who like salads have no idea why people who don't like salads don't like salads
cause you have no taste or creativity
@@mjesns77cuz I'm lazy af and I cba cutting shit small, got it?
@@user-zf4ef4yz1x that sounds kinda like a you problem
Salads are like, the fastest things to make.
I just hate lettuce
@@emmarampe9680 then eat a salad without lettuce, salads are customizable you know ? even the one in the video does not have lettuce
Chopping the ingredients into smaller pieces and adding Feta cheese has been a game changer for me!! So has been adding tangerine juice and pomegranate to my salads! And as an Iranian I was happy to see that you got inspired from our Shirazi salad😄💚
Your salads always look bomb, and I _love_ shirazi style!
But do you know is a traditional Persian salad ?
Actually we just eat it with just lemon juice in iran😂
😂😂the boys
This salad salsa whatever you wanna call it looks so good I gotta find that tiny slicer
Wow I love the veggie chopper
@@rosyrr1012use the "view products" link on the video.
Play with it! Here are some examples and ideas:
Add protein (like chicken, tofu, eggs, fish, beans etc)
Add raw nuts chopped or seeds (like sunflower, pumpkin), add whatever fruits and vegetables you like (examples: peas, avocado, olives, corn)
Add grains and legumes (like quinoa, lentils, chickpeas and more - grains and legumes combined make whole protein btw)
When dressing it, put enough olive oil, it makes the flavours combine in a wholesome satisfying way!!
Thank you
This is a good idea, but being from Shiraz we usually don’t add these extra ingredients. Great idea for salads in general tho!
@@duckyyyyyyyyy it was for salads in general, not for a specific salad.
Salad meals are very fun
Yes!! I'm having a roasted beet, chickpea, and dried cranberry obsession right now ( along with the other goodies)💗💗
@@lisafranklin9089 oh god thank you for that idea
That salad looks fabulous! Pomegranates give a sweet balance and fun bite to any dish. I also agree that feta or
Goat cheese really spices up any salad and also adds
Some protein to make it
More satiating.
Lehlah, Pomegranates are one of the Healthiest thing on the Planet. My Aunt had one in her Front Yard. She was the Healthiest of the Strongest Wemon.

I am not sure if I like the seed from the pomegranate in the salad.....
@@teddy1589I always eat pomegranate with seeds. It doesn't bother me at all.
It is shirazi salad, iranian salad, so much delicious 😋
Nora fatehi after getting older~

What you said about cutting the vegetables in small pieces makes a lot of sense. I had never thought of that, but it definitely would make a big difference in flavor.
The Vidalia Chop Wizard is awesome! I use it to make my fresh salsa.
Omg i love you! I’m so not a fan of salad and veggies but I’ve been working on learning how to eat these foods and enjoy them. I’m totally trying this. Thank you!!!!
I also find that a really good way to get people to eat salads when they don't really like them is if you add fruit. My grandmother has been making a salad with strawberries, blueberries, and apples with a poppy seed sweet dressing for years and even the people in my family who don't like salad often will go back for seconds and thirds.
Bosc pear and spinach/ arugula is one of my favorite combinations!!
Then you realise they wanted seconds and thirds cuz of the poppy seeds
is there anything else that goes in this salad besides the ingredients you listed? bc it sounds delicious, I’d love to make it!!😌
yess apples in a salad is amaaaazing!! I didn't know what to think about it until I tried it and omggg
Add dried CRANBERRIES! You always have them on hand and it sweetens the whole thing up.
as an Iranian, the fact that you said “shirazi”inspired salad makes me so happy.😊🎉❤ not many people know it as shirazi salad and to see someone recognizing it, is cheering.
Shirazi salad rules 🥗 with abghore of course
In Turkey, we say “kaşık salata” or “gavurdağı salatası” and it’s pretty delicious. We are sharing too much recipes in two culture ❤❤
Yes I was so surprised!
As a man from Alabama I prefer bologna
same here im iranian and Shirazi salads are the best!
You are amazing lady. Easy and heal. God bless you. Keep it that way
I made the fattoush salad your mom makes for Ramadan and I am now obsessed with it. I never liked cucumbers but I guess I just needed them chopped. Za'taar spiced pita chips are soooo good. I even got my veggie hating husband to love it. Thank You!
Turning a salad into a dip- genius. Honestly the best looking salad I’ve ever seen
I love salads but making this is a must! I like the chip idea as well. I don’t think i would change anything! 😋
That looks great ❤
Herbs!!! That’s my big tip! Use at least one, basil, parsley, oregano, dill, whatever you fancy. It makes all the difference in the world!
DILL!!! OMG
Try fresh mint!
That eating salad with chips is so simple yet GENIUS. I know, I'm probably late, and people have probably been doing this, but I've legit never thought of it
There so GENIUS. I'm quirky 🤪
I'm one of the few people I know who unironically enjoys eating salad. My lunch every day at work is a homemade salad and a plain yogurt. I actually used to bring that to school everyday since middle school so I'm continuing a "tradition". Once and a while I'll eat that on the weekend, too (usually summer since it's so light and refreshing). People think I'm only doing it to be healthy (that is half of why) but I also really love it.
I need one of those choppers!!! Looks so good.
Easily available in markets
I need 100 more recipes like this.😳 Also try walnuts in salad. It's amazing!😍
Genius: if you don't like salads, eat chips and salsa.
And cheese
chunky salsas and finely chopped salads are the same thing

Did this with fruit too . Obsessed!!
This is exactly how I learn to love to eat healthy
This is a good way to take in more vegetables on a daily
this isn't a salad its a freaking salsa-

Omfg who cares. Eat it, or don't. Y'all do way too much over what someone calls food.
@@Royalty_girlieright, like why are you so angry about what someone is calling something?🙄

The chopping thing super small is such good advice, it was the only way I could eat it when I was younger😂😂
I watched your video and went to Amazon and ordered the chopper.
Thank you for the good tips.
Legit just what I did LOL!!
That “So Good” at last always feel so good
Looks delicious ❤❤❤ i love vegetables chopped thick or think minced or sliced the more the better
Wow that chopper looks amazing, I need one 👌
Cut slices of bread into small cubes of about 10 to 15 mm in width and length..then toast them in the oven or deepfry...then add them to your salads...they go especially well with a salad of fresh greens, tomato, cheese and mayonnaise🙌🙌
Croutons
I haven’t jacked it in almost a month and this got me dangerously close to breaking my fast. Makes me wanna go to the store immediately and get everything you showed on the video. Salads are the best food I swear
I'm Iranian and for making this salad we dont use olive oil and bell pepper but we use the the rest on ingredients with lots on lemon juice to make it sour
Can someone post the recipe for their favorite natural salad dressing? 😁🥲💗
Feta cheese is a gift, I love being Greek and finding amazing feta everywhere
But authentic feta, not something labeled as "feta" 🥺🥲
@@evapara what’s it labeled as?
@@vaneziahamilton Feta is a "p.o.p" product - protected by origin label, meaning that only Greece has the right to produce feta. Anything else that does not originate from Greece is not legally (and based on taste and look I may add) considered feta
@@evapara Yes cause there are many feta imitations!
@@depyk7989 then, they should state they are imitations, and not just "feta"
Try roasting chickpeas tossed in a little oil. They turn nice and crunchy like little croutons 👍
I discovered last summer that i really love salad chopped up small and would eat one almost everyday. I would include either tuna, chickpea, eggs (maybe some cheeses) or a combo to change it up a bit. And i really liked it with lemon/lime, some basil maybe and sriracha for some spicyness. didn't really eat salads before.
Looks so yummy ❤❤❤❤
For me I add sweet corn onions cheese and chick peas and it usually fancies up any boring salad and I'll end up enjoying it more
Feta cheese makes all the difference in a salad 😋🥗
Yes the difference between me eating it or not eating it 😉
Yes I would have to agree!
I HAVE THAT IT’S AMAZING
🤤 mouthwatering… just too good

I look your recipes every single day. I cook myself and makes me feel better in bad days. Thank you so much for your inspiration 😊😊😊😊
Aww, thank you so much! I am so happy to be sharing these recipes!
This actually made me so happy. I'm getting a chopper!
That looks so delicious. I love tiny cubed veg too ❤
Just tried this!! It's so good 🥰
for some reason when you say "so good" in all your videos no matter what it is i just know it really is SO GOOD lol
It looks so good it sounds so goood. Oh my god I'm gonna try this goooood
That's actually helpful
Great idea! Add some avocado would be good too!
I would add avocado over feta cheese simply because dairy doesn't sit well with me and I'm not a fan of vegan cheese or dairy alternatives because of the chemicals in it and I know I can make my own but I would rather simply settle for avocado
@@fabvz I love BOTH!
That’s exactly how I like my salad!! I’m getting one of those choppers 🎉
I ENJOY SALADS, GOOD AND HEALTHY FOR YOU. 🥗
My family used to put mozzarella (tuna or boiled eggs were used as well sometimes) and as a child that made everything so much better (since it was my favourite type of cheese) as dressing, we would use yoghurt or mayo, ah the memories ❤
This is also great for people with bowel blockage issues...yay I can eat a salad now...thank u so much.
I use one of those chopper things because I have a disability which effects the use of my arms and legs and it works perfectly. I use cucumber, red onion and red or yellow bell pepper, I like to add Tuna too.
Can I ask what brand do you use? I've been thinking of buying one but I keep seeing that some of them break and plastic pieces end up in food.
Same question - which brand do you use? I bought one from Amazon, had great reviews, but it broke after a few months. Really miss it!
Same question too and how long have u had it chopper thing for
@Brams Rockhopper I bought mine from amazon too, its white by the brand Fullstar. I've only had it about 6 months so far so I'm not sure of its longevity but it's working well for now.

This is actually so incredibly helpful for me! I have autism and I have a very difficult time with the texture of foods, I never thought of cutting the food smaller to limit the amount of texture and it’s going to be such a game changer! Thanks!
Out of curiosity, what are the specific psychiatric conditions that cause your troubles with texture? Autism is a very vague description that doesn’t hold much meaning beyond needing help with things that others do for themselves.
@@ToGiveLifeMeaning Autism criteria is very specific and consists of multiple important aspects, like troubles with sensory regulation, repetitive vocalizations or movements, extreme aversion to change, strong feelings of justice, difficulty interpreting and projecting social cues, and a few other symptoms.
There is a lot of stigma and misconceptions surrounding Autism so I completely understand why you think it just means someone who can’t function like everyone else. It’s a lot more common the you might think, I bet you know someone who is autistic. Not all autistic people are the same, which means while they might share symptoms, the severity of the symptoms varies from person to person.
I can function relatively normally, I just have to take extra precautions to make sure I do not trigger me to become overwhelmed because I can not handle the stimuli around me. This also means I can get incredibly uncomfortable with certain textures of food, which is why myself and a lot of other autistic people prefer “safe foods” which are things like chicken nuggets and plain pasta. Thank you for asking, a lot of people aren’t really open to hearing about this kind of stuff! :)
(Also, if you want to read more specifics about it, or you want to fact check me, I highly recommend checking the official DSM5 for the listed symptoms!)
Okay that looks satisfying af
I have one those Vidalias food Choppers. They work great!!! One thing tho.
Keep it all in it's box, when not using it. That way you know it's all there. And I've done salads like this without Lettuce. And they're just as good without the lettuce!!!
This is how I’ve been making my salads since I first saw this. Makes it so easy to eat. Ty!❤🎉
I bought that chopper, love it! 👍
I might recommend a paneer cheese. It's very easy to make at home, and makes you feel more connected with the meal.
Do I just do a look up of the recipe?
@Brooke Alyson going off the top of my head.
You need milk, lemon juice (I use fresh).
A good pot, cheese cloth, something to stir.
Water
In a pit, pour in your milk. Set the heat to a medium low. (I put it on 4)
Once warm, add small amounts of lemon juice to separate the curds and whey.
Stir regularly.
Continue to add lemon juice and regularly stir until completely separated. This is usually a 30-45 minute process.
Strain this mixture through cheese cloth. Rinse and squeeze thoroughly. This is the point where you're removing the lemon flavour.
You can eat it now, but for a better tasting cheese, let sit in the fridge for 24 hours with a weight on top.
@@postapocalypticnewsradio thank you! I just screenshot this! I really appreciate it!
@Brooke Alyson anytime friend! Lemme know how it turns out
@@postapocalypticnewsradio 24 hours is not needed tho. 1-2 hours in the fridge is enough to settle and harden it.
I HAVE to try this! I need to eat more veggies 😭
That's looks amazing but hope you consider sharing what your adding and how to make the dressing and what flavor it is and I never thought to do the chips with it great idea and the cutting machine did an awesome job at making everything look so neat clean and professional
I started doing this a few months ago. it does make a big difference.

I need the cutter in my life, perfect tiny cubes👌
Ooooh! Love the chopper!!!🥰🥰🥰
Yummy, yum, yum! And a great idea for eating for salads! The pomegranate was a twist. Haven’t had pomegranate since I was a kid. I bet that salad would be great in a burrito or taco….maybe with some grilled salmon too.
also try sushi bowls! not a huge fan of salad, but even without fish or anything it’s incredibly tasty. just sushi rice, avocados, tomatoes, beans, whatever you like, mixed with a sauce. it’s sooo good
Ow wow So so good , looking So yummy 😋
Honestly my tip for getting more veggies in your life is fine the vegetables you do like and just eat those don't bother with salads, I'm generally not a fan of salad but I LOVE raw cucumbers and Carrots as well as celery so we always have some of those in the house and I'll just cut up sticks of those and snack on those. Even when my parents have salad with dinner I prep a handful of vegetables stocks depending on what kind we have and pop that on my plate instead
You are Such a inspiration Yumna, great woman ❤
Wow that looks so good🤩
Love that!!
LOL....Yeah, I don't eat 'salad' much, but I consider tortilla chips to be edible scoops for any bowl of salsa. I have been known to literally make and eat an entire half-gallon of salsa by myself. ~THC
You forgot to add: sweetness! Because salad is a “cold” food, we need to think our brain into thinking it’s appetizing. Salt, acid, and sweetness is key.
I like that gadget shes uses to dice those vegetables into very small pieces. It looks so convenient. So getting one
Literally THE BEST salad
You didn't even mention the most important tip, which is to ditch the lettuce.
Why? Lettuce is just mainly water.
I can eat way more when the salad can be eaten from a bowl with a spoon than when it needs to be eaten with a fork. I don't hate Lettuce or spinach but a chopped salad with many ingredients is always easier.
Got that right! I personally prefer kale, caulliflower, shredded brussel sprouts, broccoli slaw...so many options.
Omg finally someone address that issue. I actually don't get the idea of eating raw veggies specially with the dressing not to my taste. Thank you 💓 for the tips😊
I LOVEEE my chopper. My favorite kitchen tool of all time
Looks great
Very healthy salad 🥗 😋 👌
And yummy im from iran:)))))
I went to the product link because I wanted a chopper that diced that tiny like in this video, but it seems that you must have run the vegetables through that chopper twice because on the video that is linked on Amazon, the pieces look four times bigger. Can you please confirm?
