Viid is by far my favorite narrator as of late. I have not heard him repeat any other story and you actually silllnget chills from his reads. Him, Dark Somnium and Chilling Tales for dark nights are the bees knees. 🙏
This one went hard, from start to finish, with incredible writing. Great job on the narration, Viidith. I can't believe that you're still improving, but it goes to show your hard work, dedication and talent. Keep it up, my man!
I have actually felt that kind of fear in a closed hospital in which I was third shift security. It takes years to get over something like this. There's definitely things that are real in the dark. Fear can be primal.
Hey V, just wanted to say that I love all of your narrations and am a big fan! Your channel is a big inspiration for some things I want to start pursuing creatively! Keep up the great work
My house, is a place made by family hands. With manual tools, from wood harvested and milled by them, ON this farm. My 265+ year old farmhouse is truly in my blood. I love her dearly, and I know she is alive so I speak to her, everyday❤. Long may she thrive in this family line, along with all of her lands❤
The house I grew up in when I was a child,.. the little box bedroom I slept in was freezing cold.. winter and summer you could see your own breath...I never saw or heard anything in there...I used to settle to sleep,..but every night..I'm not sure what time ..I had a horrible feeling that I needed to get out of that room..and also keep my eyes closed...not to look in the room...I used to run from that room and get to my mum's bedroom..I also thankfully had a good childhood and was very loved...so this dark feeling and fear..,I'm not sure where it came from...but there was something in that room...thank you v...
That's not true. If people based truth on instinct instead of facts, we would still be in the Dark Ages. Truth is fact. Not what a few people may think. It's not smart, it's dumb.
The best one in a whole. Absolutely fantastic!! And your job of narrating it was peerless. Especially in the classic ending... your voice embodied the palpability of genuine balls out terror. Seldom do you hear someone with that ability. The few I know say that once they run have accomplished it, it changes their perspective completely. This story, so well written, is a perfect example of true terror with no concrete appearance of the malignant presence of the object of the fear. All around and absolute banger of a job! Kudos!
Great story to build from. Maybe a part 2? Had me imagining some demon with savage hunger to rip me apart just for the fun of it. ☠️ I too have had fear like in the story. There are things that go bump in the night. We are not the only Sentient beings on planet Earth.
tbh when if i lived in a place where the original people of the land live i forgot the name but for example jericho in usa i would go to some shaman and asked for some kind of temporary repelent. but based on the story how would a mouse repel a hawk.
Just couldn’t get into this one tonight? This is a very specific style of lovecraftion** narration that you need to be awake and alert to catch the details of what’s happening. I’ll have to try it another night. Cheers! **The tone seemed to monochromatic, (earnest at all times) no pits or valleys in the inflections or dialogue (if there was any dialogue).
The story overall is great, but some things are so grating... 6:48 No, "cherubs" are NOT naked babies with wings. Those would be putti (plural of putto). Cherubs are angels with four heads (one of an ox, one of an eagle, one of a lion and one of a human) and four wings. They are one of the highest ranking class of angels. 7:15 Gargoyles are water spouts. They have no place inside the house, let alone in chandeliers. The word for a weird looking figurine is "grotesque". Some gargoyles have the shape of grotesques, but not all grotesques are gargoyles. 7:55 Jane Austen lived in the _early_ 1800s, specifically from 1775 to 1817. 8:23 The gargoyles again... A painting cannot be a gargoyle, it can not even be a grotesque, because grotesques are 3D objects. Ususally fixed to the walls or roof of a building. Maybe the author wanted to write "guardians". 22:25 A manor is actually not a single building, but a piece of land, an estate. The large house that is home to the lord of the manor and his family, would the manor house. Oh, and while we're at it: A crest is just the decoration above the coat of arms. It's not the coat of arms itself. I can only advice the author to look up the words they are using.
YES! FINALLY! Someone pronounces "foyer" properly! It's the little things in life that make me happy ☺ I must agree with the author here too...being naked showering with curtains literally creep me the F out 😬 I'm forever thinking imma open my eyes whilst rinsing my soapy hair to see a creepy face staring and looking in at me from the far end of the tub. I prefer baths much more bc of that 😂 💙❤💜
Cmon authors stop with this "bad feeling" crap and give the audience actual physical evidence of why this "scaredy cat" should be running around the house like his life is on the line. You all know you if a friend or relative told you a story like this you would laugh at them and call them a damn punk! Even the last bit of the story with the handprints doesn't redeem the story. After hearing this all I can think of is this guy was a coward and nothing was after him the whole time.
The level of work ethic is impressive and your effort is appreciated.

Fear “IS” primal, it’s one of if not the oldest primeval forms of feeling.
