Maybe I'm a little late to this, but I grew up with the Spice Girls. Being born in 2002 (waaaay after the Spice Girls era), I didn't realize they weren't together anymore. But growing up I've always adored Mel C, especially in the Spice World movie. She had the best voice, still looks like a goddess and still tours. And well, when I found out she was a Liverpool fan I had to be a fan of course!
I knew The Spice Girls when they first came in 1996! So ive been a super huge fan of their music since then. I didn't own the dolls but i owned everything else! I'm a fan of both Solo Mel C And Spice Girls.
I was a SG fan and 'Sporty' was always my fave, I was so young back then and I have been always so into sports, so yeah, I identified with her a lot. When the Spice split I never took the time to look for what the girls were doing, if they were solo, etc. So one day I came into my fave music store and they were playing "If that were me" and I felt in love with it, bought the album right away and since then I am proudly a Melanie C fan. I loved the SG but MC rules my world!
Two finds in 1 day - came across The Sea on NZ iTunes store so have completed my collection, and now found this channel. Never was a Spice Girls fan but listened to the early solo albums. Melanie C was the only one I really really liked.
I'm only 16 and even though I grew up around the spice girls I didn't really understand them. I found Melanie's music through her role in Jesus Christ Superstar. So you could say I'm a Melanie C fan and not necessarily a Spice Girls fan (in fact she has led me to listen to more spice girls music:D)

Doing these kinds of videos is a very clever move since she gets closer to her fans, and it's also nice to have her answer questions people ask her. To be a singer is a job. You don't need to be an international number one hit maker to make a living out of music, specially if you already did that before. She has a fan base, the money and the recognition. she doesn't need to "make it big" again.
I am a fan of Melanie because one of my friends lent me a record of the Spice, after hearing it I went on Wikipedia to find information about the band and then I knew Melanie C and after listening to "First Day Of My Life" I loved her. This has happened this year and I was not a fan of the Spice Girls simply because I was not born yet, because now I have 13 years! I'm sorry if English is not good but I come from Italy.
