1:06 Mixer with osc volumes. Osc A freq. Saw wave and square wave, can have a cmbo of them. Square can be modulated with PW. Sync control, will make Osc 1 a slave to Osc 2, so you always get the same note. Change Osc 2 Freq to get different notes. 3:02 Osc 2, more powerful. You get Fine control. Saw, triangle, square. 4:23 Keyboard and Low Frequency options. KBD stops Osc listening to the keyboard so you get the same note, so you use the Freq knob to tune it. KBD off, you can play Osc 1 and 2 with only Osc 1 listening to the keyboard, so two notes. 5:43 Lo Freq mode, makes osc 2 an LFO. Can alter its frequency. Turning KBD off makes the speed of low and high notes the same (so the same note). 6:57 Default patch. Osc 2 is detuned a little so the noise sounds big. "Noise" is white noise. Filter 8:00 Cutoff dial demo. Reso - peak created at the break point. Cutoff and Reso at certain levels, it starts whistling, heard even with osc turned off. Can get sine wave tones. 9:05 Boosting resonance, the lows go down a little. Keyboard control. KBD off makes higher notes less loud. Cutoff modulation 11:07 ADSR demo. Turning Sustain right up disables the Decay stage. For Release to have more effect, turn up Release in Amplifier section too. Amplifier 14:16 Amplifier is ADSR of the amp.
Its a little weird how the B lfo works. The wave pattern, even at slow frequency settings has a steep quick cycle - just the time intervals are spread out between those peaks are slow. Meaning there isn't a slow movement through the triangle wave. The triangle wave is still steep but the time inbeteen that triangle is slowed down.
POLARITY is ripping you off man..... Hey XNB did you know POLARITY took your "patch form the scratch".....and made a "Track from the scratch", and now he is doing isolated modulators like you do. It seems he ran out of ideas so now he is creating the same content you are creating !!!!
Yeah man, thanks for letting me know. I already knew, we post on the same places....so, it's impossible not to see it. I don't care him covering common knowledge like modulators, devices, and so on......I did kind of get a bit upset he released a "track from the scratch" after i do a "patch from the scratch" where the content is very similar...... still, I don't mind. What I did mind is the "naming" the section pretty much the same. I mean, come on...a little bit of effort in at least putting an original name.
Nice in depth cover - thank you. But you said you wouldn't go into ADSR - then unfortunately you did, in detail. Boring. As you suggested, we DO know about them already.
keep this channel going !!! Support it on patreon. It really helps: www.patreon.com/XNB

Great video thanks !
Thanks for your help!
I would love to see you do a deep dive on the Prophet 10 Rev 4!
haha, I would love to. But finding that synth in my country is like finding Jesus and get three wishes from him.
@@XNBeatsMusic 😂😂😂
If you could cover the "G-Force- Oberheim" in the near future that'd be great.
ps-Awesome stuff
Just went to their website and it looks like they ported the VS to its own separate instrument, so you don't get the 2 in 1 anymore.
