Hamradio operator here. You're kinda correct, but slightly wrong. Been using conventional DMR since 2015'ish. LCN = Logical Channel Number. LSN = Logical Slot Number. Conventional Tier 2 DMR Repeaters in ham radio use both LSNs or both slots. So (2) different talkgroups at the same time on a single repeater. My DMR Hotspots (I have 7 of them ; 4 Openspot Hotspots ; and 3 Pi-Star Hotspots) only use 1 LSN at a time so they are Tier 1 DMR. Tier 1 is single Time Slot or single LSN. Tier 2 is double TIme Slot or dual LSN. Tier 3 is both Time Slots on multiple frequencies. So a 2 LCN DMR Trunk system offers a total of 4 LSN.
LCN (logical channel numbers) were used previously in both LTR & EDACS systems. LSNs are unique to DMR. Squeezing in (2) conversations into one channel at the same. A product of TDMA (Time Division Multiplexed Access). Nextel's iDEN also used TDMA.
OARN: US Hamradio operators are forbidden from using DMR's encryption feature. But Canadians hams are permitted to experiment with encryption.

You can find the Ellison and all of this information very easily by using SDR Sharp free version of DSD and you will have your information then return to the far superior sdrtrunk put in the information that you got and enjoy listening
We Ham Radio Operaters also use DMR Repeaters,
I.can't add Toledo which is Lucas county. When I.do.add it it says no tuner available
Can you do AM next ?
So if know a TIII site that use only a frequency i can simply set that frequency also as LSN?
I'm in Italy, i'm like a pioneer, no radioreference, no database of any kind, hard times😂
Enjoyed the trunking videos so far everything works but DMR. I can see info coming in but not hearing a voice. I'm in a major metro area north of you. I used Radio Reference too

@@thesoutherndonkey nope. Thankfully I didn't have as much dmr stuff near me as I thought. What little bit I could hear was too choppy. I just gave up
HI I NEED YOUR HELP i have set up my RTLSDR dongle as you say to do and it is work but i have one problem the voice is clear on to receive but after 10minutes it cuts out and i can't understand any thing it songs all GARGLE and i cant understand anything CAN YOU LPEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO FIX IT THANKS
What system are you trying to monitor
How can decrypt , encrypted DMR channel !
Decrypting an encrypted channel on any digital mode is impossible with this program
