- As most of you know by now, I love me a good sandwich and the holidays bring about a whole new way of looking and preparing one that fits the season. With that in mind I want to thank Kroger for sponsoring this video and allowing me to showcase just how easy it is to whip up a sandwich that's typically consumed all year in different forms using some of their accessible, affordable, and delicious ingredients. Of course now I'm thinking about whole roasting my own pork leg for freshly sliced ham sandwiches...maybe next year Byron. Turkey Seasoning
2 large turkey breasts (Kroger)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Simple Truth Maple syrup (Kroger)
3 tbsp dried oregano
3 tbsp chopped rosemary, sage, thyme
3 tbsp salt
3 tbsp ground fennel seeds
2 tbsp black pepper
Winter herb aioli:
4 tbsp mayo (Kroger cage free eggs)
1 tbsp dijon mustard
2 tbsp chopped rosemary, thyme, sage
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
black pepper to taste
Romaine lettuce (Kroger)
Extra sharp cheddar cheese (Kroger)
Sourdough Bread (Kroger)

Turkey bacon club with maple flavors is probably one of my favorite sandwiches EVER! Yummm!

Unfortunately there is only one type of aioli. Aioli is Spanish, literal translation in Catalon is garlic and olive oil. Classical aioli is made of garlic, olive oil and salt. What Byron is making is a type of mayonaise, but he calls it aioli. No idea why, but it is a really nice wintery herby type of mayonaise / sauce. Just FYI :)

Looks so tasty! I wouldn't put the tomato right next to the bread though to avoid soggy bread, I'd put the tomato between the cheese and lettuce

Looks so good. I always wonder when seasoning poultry, does the seasoning really penetrate the skin...It wouldn’t be hard to just cut the skin back, leaving one side attached, season, then pull the skin back over? Or would all but detaching the skin be detrimental flavor-wise?

For a better and easier sandwich, but deli turkey in the flavor you like, maple, pepper, smoked, etc. then TOAST your bread and assemble as in video.
You forgot the tomato in your ingredient list, but that’s okay because I (tragically) cannot stand raw tomato
I really like EVERY ingredient except lettuce. I stopped putting lettuce (all kinds) on sandwiches and burgers years ago, I find the taste and texture is not appealing for a sandwhich.

aioli is an emulsion of garlic and oil, why is everybody calling their flavoured mayonnaise aioli ... I mean there's not even garlic in your prep, come on
