What a treat to watch a presenter who really knows what a space frame is! My two go-to modelling methods are soft soldered brazing rod and hot melt glued drinking straws - they'll quickly show you any missing triangulation.

dLots of off-road vehicles use the ladder type chassis design like land rover and suzuki and the reason an article suggested is that it produces minimum to no flex which is opposite to whats being demonstrated in the video. i am a bit confused. is there something i'm missing here ??
Doesnt the rear engine mounts and engine block count as a cross member In the context of the ladder chassis with limited wheel travel wouldnt the ladder chassis keep the rubber to the road better due to the flexibility hence be an asset over the other box and angled chassis with the same amount of wheel travel

WHY DON'T THEY DO THIS IN CLASS! is it that hard to put some pieces of wood and show the demo! does it cost an arm and leg to build it. I just don't understand. Just glad I live in this time and age

chassis should not be made to do the job of a suspension, if that is what you are asking.
