How do you use staff 2 skill and teleport forward?

Staff 2 ports backwards from your target, so if they are chasing you it will port you forward, and if you don't have a target simply turn your character around.

As long is a pug zerg you can run anything, in organized zerg it won't work. For party/small scale it works fine you have good utility res and can share some alac with staff, you can take mass invi too, but you need to have awareness on your allies positioning to help them kite, but clearly this build is the best as solo because almost everything is selfish survival.

I wonder why your virtuoso builds run no dagger at all? o.0 The full bottom row of virtuoso spec is about bleeding with 'blade' and all dagger skills have blade - blade/bleeding also goes with Greatsword and pistol.. Also the virtuoso blade/bleeding goes hand in hand with bleeding/crit that Dueling spec offers.. I do not understand the double sword, scepter, staff and focus builds.. GS with sword/dagger makes sense and or even GS with dagger/pistol, bleeding can also stock blades with 'bloodsong' - Seems like a very potential build (by design) Im pointing towards.. Right?

Those are pve traits, you need blocks to generate blades otherwise you can't do damage, people aren't dummy golems they move and evade, and they pressure you. Those traits are also nerfed for wvw, the balance is split between gamemodes. Dagger skills are too slow, and decent enemies won't stay there while you autoattack, greatsword mostly works in other mesmer specs because mirror blade bounces but on virtuoso it doesn't, and its autoattacks are lame, at least on mirage you can ambush and generate might for it. If I find a virtuoso with dagger and greatsword I know thats a free kill.

@@JenPlaysGG Thank you for the info.. Assuming I have just found the best PVE build then.. I just cannot imagine dealing with many mobs in PVE content with those staff builds.. For close range short burst PvP ganks, where poor under geared low level people die in seconds, it makes sense.. But slapping a staff with random conditions and torch against dummy golem heavy big boss healthbar, while dodging mechanics and minions, does not seem to be my taste.. Furthermore I assume nothing is wrong with pistol, but I also do not see your builds use it - you rather take torch or conch I figured.. Interesting for sure since when you boost core Mesmer, it comes stock with celestial Greatsword and Pistol by design.. I had no clue about any build nerfs for WvW,- but at the same time that also shows the reason why.. (that I was not far off) *wink

I'm sorry but I don't really understand... This is a build for WvW to deal with players and the balance is pretty different than the values in PvE. Staff is great for WvW/PvP because it's utility, like movement, blind, daze, aegis and some blade generation. Scepter have a block and a counter attack skill that does big damage and confusion, Off Hand Sword have another block and evade. Torch have stealth, burning and blind, and even a phantasm who can interrupt and do big damage. All these options are very valuable for competitve gameplay because enemies won't let you freecast and kill them. If you are looking for a virtuoso build for PvE then just look at the PvE builds, here you have some to check:
