  • In this episode of our Who's Who of Watchmaking we will talk about a lesser-known group of the industry with the Parmigiani Group. This last one holds the brand, Parmigiani Fleurier, but also 5 very high-end suppliers offering the full range of competencies necessary to produce a watch from A to Z.

that's the beauty of small independent manufactures they are not driven by trends! they make their own one's.

    Thanks for covering Parmigiani Marc.
Yes still a niche brand but definitely respected by connoisseurs.
I believe they did the right thing by producing some entry level pieces in steel.
    The Tonda 1950 is a beauty :)

Thank you! Very well done and again a thoroughly thought-out video. Please may I ask that you keep them coming, Marc. It is wonderful to learn and see what is going on in the world of watches, their makers and machinery involved. I am into restoring and preserving watches.

I was aware of the Sandoz foundation but not of their work in watchmaking. This is what I love about Switzerland, there is a certain je ne sais qui that makes people innovate and invest in what can be a stuffy field. Very impressive video Marc-André, fantastic work. And that oval watch, wow.

i love parmigiani fleurier so much. kinda sad that they are pivoting more towards integrated steel sports vibes, but hey, if it pays the bills and keeps the name alive, im here for it.

Once again a wealth of information about the brand. Thank you so much for sharing, very good work and at the same time really enjoyable to watch. The YG no-date Parmigiani and the MB&F Legacy both look great on your wrist, terrific choices.
Quick question: I've heard that Parmigiani manufacture the Calatrava 5196 model for PP, perhaps the case and dial (if not the movement as well). Is that true? (if you know and can also disclose, of course). Thank you.
