  • INFP overthinking is tiring and frustrating. We overthink finding a solution to circumstances that haven’t happened yet. We overestimate situations and invest emotions until it hurts our heads or even cause anxiety.
As an INFP, I don’t like it. Dang, no one likes it! But as dominant feelers, is there anything we can do to beat this distressing habit?
In this video, let's talk about the 3 hacks I use to overcome INFP Overthinking!

I recently started telling myself to stop making up a bad future to worry about. I have the choice to imagine and scary, bad future or a happy, cheerful one. Might as well think of a beautiful one with baby goats, bumblebees, and sunshine.

As a mature INFP, I can say that this is extremely accurate! For feeling types, we sure do think a LOT.

Yay tysm! Now I can *finally stop thinking about what happens after death, the mysteries of this wide and unknown reality, and infinite concepts that our finite minds cannot comprehend*

But these are great points to overthink about! I remember watching and getting hooked with life after death videos. Lol

Bruh i feel like my insides hate how true these are after relating it to my experiences 😂 i really do get motivated by problems rather than goals. And after chasing goals for so long, i think this video really just helps me accept that problems are the bane of my existence, in order to not leave me rotting as a shut in with lack of purpose 😢

A lot of jobs require people that can work under pressure but as an INFP, I only work well under pressure😂

For me it depends what kind of pressure it is lol 🤣🤣🤣

If it's a creative or motivating pressure yes haha !
Or like, if I have a pressure of finishing a thing and I know I can make my manager or the customer proud of of my work, I will work well under pressure hahahaha
      That's toxic though

My problem is that I am dreaming about writing a novel, but every time I want to start I find another topic that I am not very experienced in and need to gather external information, which leads to me always researching, but never actually writing and it is a bit frustrating. 😅

Appreciate this video! The overthinking is so me, which means I must focus on actions that have a heavy penalty if not done. Rather than procrastinating, visualizing and working on self improvement, break the inertia.

Thanks, I've honestly had the worst time going after what I want, because I was so used to solving & healing the family growing up, it's like your brain just can't build, it needs a problem to fix to act. It's so hard to do things for yourself when you really couldn't afford to growing up or it really wasn't encouraged or rewarded

Does it mean INFP procrastinate more?

3 out of 4. As an INFJ, we INF-- we would LOVE to feel it is done, perfect, final, to the point, no need to think about it anymore. But if you INFPs take it with your P as in don't give yourself time to overthink, rethink and redo too many times, I take it with my J, don't issue a decision too soon as you may miss important evidence.

  • @vkmuffins
    @vkmuffins ปีที่แล้ว +2

That's true I guess......I can feel whenever I goal for something I might give up in between due to some obstacles but when there's an urgent consequence I can deal with the situation without thinking too much. It sounds funny but yes this actually works for me. (An infp ofc ;) )
Very helpful video,,,,, awesome.....keep up with ur great work 💜

    1. Make decisions only when the deadline approaches. 0:56
    2. gather external knowledge 2:38
    3. consequences make infps move, more than their goals 3:34

I finally realized that I, too, become more driven to do such lengths if there's a big consequence than goals. And yes, money and rewards can't keep us moving in the long run.
