- In light of achieving over one-thousand subscribers (thanks everyone!), I thought I'd make another how-to video. In this one, I will show you how to build a wall-hanging light bar that looks quite modern and cool. It's a super simple build, and should be easy for most people to make.

Darn it! You've revealed my identity! Now I will have to lie low and not use my spidy powers for a while...
Have your spidey powers returned?
Uhmm , meanwhile in 2021 : 2.72M Subs
It's crazy how great your video production was, even at 1,000 subscribers. I always look forward to your excellent content! Keep it up Matt!
This creates great lighting conditions inside a room. There are no shadows, and it feels like you are outside with the sky above! Thanks for this video, great idea!
By the way, a super simple alternative is to glue a circular cardboard covered in aluminum foil, on the bottom of the light bulb hanging off the roof. However, it's EXTREMELY important that the bulb is LED, so it doesn't get hot. If it gets hot, it can burn the cardboard.
Hello there And thank you for all of your workshops on all of these things, as I am very new to these things. You have given me an appetite for wanting to do many of them for myself as home hobbies for myself seeing as I am not to well physically and doing things at home is a blessing and it is giving me a great lift spiritually too. Again my thanks. Tom Seath, South Australia

"I just got over 1000 subscribers". Now It's over 2.77 million. Still going strong. Inspirational for others. Excellent work. 👍
Watching it 7 years later, it's funny to hear "I have 1000 subscribers now..." 2.5 M to date. Great channel, Matt!
Wow 1,000 subs! Look at you now!!
I'd really like to see how you wire this into your home's power with a light switch to control it. Actually, most of the home wiring videos on TH-cam are pretty low quality, so that might be a good niche your channel could serve as well.
I love LED spindles, i swear I have seen tons of projects with these things from lights around the TV, Desk, to making cake pan lights for filmography. They are a versitle product.
Me seeing the white keyboard at 4:09 in 2021: "damn, how did you get a Raspberry Pi 400 in 2013?"
It is wonderful to see how far your channel has come, going from 1000 to 2.7m subscribers!
Thank you so much for the video Matt. Very easy to understand and great ideas. My wife and I really appreciate your taking the time to share your ideas with us. We wish you all the best from Wisconsin, USA!
Now that's a cool idea!
Was that two posters praising God I saw in that scene? Praise the Lord Matt, glad to see another brother in Christ along my TH-cam travels. God bless.
You Brits - so polite. Everybody else shamelessly begging for subscriptions. You just said in the most polite and calming manner - "and maybe subscribe if you like what you see."
Google is your friend for that kind of info ;)
USB voltage is always 5v, and .5 amps, so it wouldn't be enough to power even one meter of LED strip.
If you're using a desktop, you could use the 12v rail of the PSU, which would power it nicely. The PC would obviously have to be turned on though.
Those cute little monitors hah. Love the channel.

Luckily, he made the "How to Fix a Scratched Monitor" video...
LOL
It's actually 4 vids after this one. This is just what inspired, or rather, necessitated that video.
Lmao
Am i the only one who realizes that Matthew is soooo adorable and has amazing eyes?

As soon as you said "I just got a thousand subscribers " I looked at your current number and said GOT DAMN!
Daib Starks shup up nigga
I came to checkout the ideas.. but not just i got the tips but also your smile make me happy somehow.
To prevent overheating you should always install some sort of heat sink material (e.g. aluminium strip) on which to mount the LED particularly if you are using flammable material for the coving as in this case.
Good job man !!
Very cool projects. I really like your ideas :D
Love your videos man. Well done. Subbed.
Haha 1000 subs? 2.8 million my friend. The success you've had is completely deserved!
I like this idea! Pretty Cool! :)
I made a version of this a few months ago. I used a length of angle aluminium instead which also works as a heatsink for the led strip. Screwed it to the wall, connected it up to a 12V power brick and it is looking very fine.
6 years and you went from 1k to 1.6M subs. Impressive and well deserved! Thanks for the vids!!!
Your videos are so well made i had to sub :D
Ek No. Bhaavaa.....
you sir are living a continuation of my childhood. this is awesome! sub'ed

you can buy (primed) L-angle molding at any wood supply for a few bucks per 8' strip.
2.31 Million subs!!! Wonderful channel, deserve a lot more!
The power cables were just connected to a 12v power plug adapter. :)
Your videos make me want to learn more about circuits! I only know the basics :(
Yeah, now over 1,1 mln :) still enjoying the videos
Nice work, thanks🙂
It’s so relax listening to him
"I've got over 1000 followers. Which is quite a lot."

You've done well sir.
Hi there. Thank you so much for this upload. My friends have a beautiful wide shot phot with lots of warm tones in it but the light near by is a harsh blue and doesn't do it justice! I'm going to try this out for them!
very cool idea! it's not only cool, but i don't need to turn on my lamp if i want to work in the dark!
What an interesting monitor setup
thats awesome now you have 100,000! congrats :)
By turning the power socket, which has the 12v adapter plugged into it, off :)

I just got a warm 5meter led strip for $6/£3.64 off of ebay on an auction, no one else even bid. There are tons of them going for pretty cheap on auctions and not much competition. This was in the US so it might be different in other countires but just wanted to let you guys know.
I just simply love your video, the way you speak is so pleasant to hear, almost like massage the ear tunnel ....:-) lol haha
