I haven't played in a while... But tried after reforged was released. I had to provide my cd-key into website account, and then download wc3. I guess you should be able to do it
you have to install reforged, but can use your cd key. then u can play wc3 as usual with the old graphics

You need to play the story mode then.
Easy Human?
Because you're not used to playing against humans. The easy AI will just amass strength, the crush you. A human will scout and probe, harass and pressure, forcing you to play at top speed. The AI will let you play slow, then smash you.
You have to learn to make every second count, to have your hero creeping the moment he's out, to Always Be Creeping (ABC) and to keep production and base building going all the while. It takes practice.
What race do you play?
Bot in hard just get more gold and lumber, thus it get more units and techs. At least it's how it work back then.
