The title of this video sounds like me desparately coping about my favourite hero in 2002. I know people are wowed by spaceflight and AI, but I just can't believe I got to live to see the day that PoTM was kinda good.
PotM is definetly the best hero in Run Kitty Run.
This is like the first little step for a man and a huge jump for humanity, I've never seen PotM be usable

@@larsjohansen8214 The term you're thinking of is Extractor Trick. Overpool is just a build order building an Overlord and Spawning Pool, usually at 9. Doesn't have anything to do with getting an extra worker.

Sometimes i wished Blizzard played with Night Elf stealth ability a little more, i think ambush tactics would be cool to have in an RTS.
Give hunter's hall a cheap tech that gives units bonus damage on the next hit coming out of stealth, by like 10% or something and this would apply to all huntress glaive bounces as well. Or maybe just give the bonus damage to POTM, and it levels with owl skill.
Regardless would love to see some Night Elf Ambush plays.
i think the 2 main problems with it has to do with it only being usable half the time and positional tactics on that kind of scale not being super effective in WC3. obviously positioning matters A LOT in WC3 but more in the middle of a fight and things like concaves, but to do something like this tactic you have to know that someone is going a certain path quite a bit ahead of time and they also have to not change their mind and commit to it pretty fast for it to be worth it and that's a lot to expect of and be confident in your opponent even at the highest levels

Realy Grubby, have been following you a near a year now i came because of DOTA and stayed because of WC3, that micro skill you show in those games are outstanding that moonwell.block was crazy that shows another level of pro player. Your way of streaming is the best coaching while playing, helping everybody, respecting the losses... congratz just show how good you are in everyway as a person and player.

The amount of mental damage those owls inflicted was insane. Its not just knowing where he is at all times, but rubbing it in his face that you know.
Actual question, but why put more than one point into Owl?
One point gives you a 50-mana 60 second owl. The second point only makes it last 30 more seconds and doesn't reduce the mana cost.
Perhaps the big brain move is to just summon more level 1 owls, and invest skill point #4 into trueshot after going.
Burning > Owl > Burning > Trueshot > Burning.
I think the +24 damage per arrow from Lvl2 to Lvl3 may be better than a flat 10% buff across the army, especially if you invest heavy into PotM.
Because you only use 1 owl, 30 second duration is an additional 50% time per casting. To keep owl coverage for 3 minutes is 150 mana at level 1, but it is only 100 mana at level 2. It reduces the mana cost by ~33.33%. That's a lot more mana for searing arrows. Roughly 300 bonus damage worth of searing arrows mana over those same 3 minutes.
Going 1 owl, 1 trueshot gives 10 percent more damage of your whole army, but that would have to exceed the extra 100 damage per minute you deal with searing arrows to be worth it.
Because its a meme strat. But yeah, owl2 is useless. Half a clarity worth of mana 1 minute after casting the spell is big bad doo doo

@@legionofpie Yes, it is. But you have to cast it less if you want one out all the time at level 2/3. He's saying if you cast it every time the old one expires, level 2 and 3 will cost you less mana over time.
What you did miss on Liquipedia is that level 2/3 owls are also faster and have better vision radius. So the map area that they can scout becomes enormous.
All that being said, you're almost certainly correct that TS Aura is better than level 2 owl nearly all of the time.
Apart from the mana efficiency mention, the owl does become a better scout as it levels, both moving faster and having a larger sight radius. The difference from 300 movement speed at level 1 to 350 at level 2 means the owl can now move at the same speed as a 290 base speed hero with Boots of Speed on, and outrun a 320 speed hero without boots.

I have actually edited a map, where I gave the owls the "Detonate" ability that Wisps have. POM suddenly became kinda good that way :)
Remember folks: if you want to be as good as Grubby at WC3, start sniffing bleach!

Level 1: 14 dmg 9 mana
Level 2: 26 dmg 8 mana
Level 3: 48 dmg 7 mana

In one of the previous times you tried POTM of the moon: you were against an orc, and blade kept harassing; and I was like - perfect owl opportunity, but alas - it was trueshot again.
I think owl can shut down harassments/rushes - cuz you intercept them before they starts; and you can take riskier creeps, because you can't be creep checked, and opponent has to play safer because you can creep check them any time... seems kind of op on paper
The downside is that straight engagements are weak, but you can probably hit and run very effectively, kind of like raider style; just need to disengage earlier
Yeah no one is utilizing the scout to its full potential, all they know is cry how useless it is in a game where information is gathered with vision

I've always gone searing arrow first, and would do like a DH into Priestess searing arrow first, and I've had a lot of success with that at 3800-4200 MMR. I feel like it's always been good
Love the POTM plays. The POTM with searing and owl looks so fun to play. Shooting trough forests can be OP wen facing Mele units or heroes. With shop in the mid of the map for 1 or 2 clarities in early game, and boots POTM would dominate even a BM or DK, maybe even Lich.

Blademaster of the Moon hunting heroes from maximum range. The creep kill on the Shadow Hunter was very satisfying. None can escape the wrath of the wilds.

For the fantasy patch, I would love to see a version of Scout Owl that didn't have invulnerability, but instead reduced armor of nearby enemies. Maybe even give it Wisp's Detonate at some level so it became a Swiss knife of utility fo a otherwise very straightforward hero.

I vivdly remember dragging losses out as long as possible in the hopes of the opponent lagging out (which was very common back in 200X). Good times. x)
I used to win team games with solo POTM and Ulti, and a flight of Chimera hovering overhead so that enemies cannot target her easily. Any melee gets shredded by the lightning splash. Just need one level of owl.

I still wish they gave searing arrows some sort of utility, not just flat damage on a low base damage hero. It's fundamentally flawed.

Also: plz buy 2 circlets to add to her mana pool, attack and attack speed. Get really good items from the shop (auras if possible) to make her and the 80 pop units really strong. Basically i want to see if a truly strong army is possible with her now. Ur the best. Thank you!!

even in league of legends i play top and getting kited from a ranged champion with slow when i am melee with some sort of speed spell and i cant catch my opponent has to be one of the most frustrating things
