Don't forget that time someone went over the BM's head about mismanagement/bullying and he took them outside and had a go at them and told them to quit because they weren't wanted there anymore.
I could never forget. He treated his staff badly and still does by the stories I am hearing constantly. I feel very bad for that person and the others that continue to have the abuse of McDonald's. I remember the staff walked off home afterwards with every good reason
I work at McDonalds in New Zealand and all of these things you mentioned are completely unheard of in my store. The whole management team is real nice and they get along with the crew really well, any sort of creep or pedo in the management team is completely unthinkable. The longest shift ive done is 13 hours, I stayed on for a couple hours to help out because we were getting slammed but the managers on shift literally would not let me stay any longer. I get what you mean about opening kitchen in the morning being painful, thats what I used to do before I started going into management, but we get another manager or at least more crew by 8am at the latest, which is when it starts to get busy so its not all bad. Ive enjoyed my time so far at my store, and I plan to stay for roughly another year. Its really interesting to hear how things are completely different at your store.
I’m 4 1/2 months into BK full time (i work drive thru) and I am so excited for school to start so i can quit this job, i’m never working FF ever again 😂
Damn son, the part at 2:00 when you say that's something well known about McDonalds blew my mind. Is it a UK only thing? Maybe I don't get out much, but to me McDonalds was just "eh, not the best quality food, but edible" as a customer and, on the flip-side for employees, "eh, dealing with the lowest-common denominator of customers all day, but at least I get paid."
This goes for fast food in general but don't take it to serious, it's just McDonalds, the average McDonalds will fire its staff 3 times over in 1 year.
