Thanks so much for sharing! I've had a french style chair like this sitting in my guest room for a while now, that I would love to refinish! This series has been so helpful, and has inspired me to take on the project! Thank you!
Skip, skip, fast forward. I’m here because I’d like to know how to cut the back corners but there’s no detail. Too much chat..sorry but it’s frustrating
I have had these antique dining room chairs, without arms on them, that I have been wanting to have covered. Watching this video makes me think that I can do this myself, if I get the proper tools. Thank you! I just wish I could see you do a chair with individual nail heads. I am scared to damage the wood taking them all out. Also, these chairs seem to have antique construction in them so I am worried about what I will find inside.
I would of marked the center front of chair top & bottom then fold the fabric in 1/2 & notch the top & bottom of the fold, that would be evenly distributed & if their is a pattern it will be perfectly aligned love your video thx
I've only just discovered you and am really loving your videos. What make are your snips, I'm looking for some but can't find anything like them. Many thanks.
I think I found them online, Fiskars 8-1/2" Softouch Spring Action Rag Quilter Snip. Walmart is showing an exact version but Amazon is showing a newer design.
I would love to have some information on type of compressor you use. Investing buying one and trying my hand at upholstery. Yours is so quiet. I just want something small and am planning to start with chairs. I don’t know if I will graduate from there. Thank you so much!
This is the compressor I use. It is small and perfect for household projects and upholstery. Mine is no longer available, but you can find something comparable! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BMUGQNC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know to keep the stapler straight up and down so as not to come through the wood on the backside of the wood. If that happens what do you do to repair the staple hole?
Thank you for your awesome videos!!! I have a question. What brand is your staple gun? Is it an specific model? I'm about to buy one and I really want the one that you have. Thanks!!!

Oh, I'm so glad!
Thank you for being slow and thorough
You're welcome!

Beautiful! Well Done ladies.
Nice if you mention what you put over the fabric that you see on the back of the chair
I wish their was a little less banter throughout the video since it turns this project into a very long affair
Lmao thats exactly what I was thinking

Great idea!
Tell me why the old cushion is not removed.
That’s decades of dust and dirt in the cushion.
What type of batting are you using? Went to the the website you mentioned, but couldn't find it.

what brand are the shears you used for trimming fabric after stapling?
I think I found them online, Fiskars 8-1/2" Softouch Spring Action Rag Quilter Snip. Walmart is showing an exact version but Amazon is showing a newer design.

What is the reason for not just cutting the new fabric a touch larger so there’s more wiggle room?
what size air compressor do you have
3.5 gallon
I love your videos. Thank you. Are you using a staple gun that needs an air compressor? Thank you!
Close-ups would have been very helpful.
I have some other reupholstering tutorials that shoot in a bit tighter.
Love your video, but what if the chair has a pillow for the bottom seating area. Should you remove it???

It looks like the 22-Gauge Pneumatic 3/8 in. Upholstery Stapler.
How do you estimate how fabric you will need?
I would say 2-3 yards of decorator-width fabric.
What are the lines in the fabric are they stitches or folds or something?
I am using an antique hemp sheet that has seams in it. It's just a personal choice. Obviously, most fabrics won't have seams!
My sponge is sunken in. How can I fix it before upholstering?
I would either pad it with batting or replace the foam.
You need to zoom in more so we can see what you are doing, we dont need a wide frame shot.
Would like to see it closer
Yes, I would like to know too what kind of stable gun you used? Brand? Thank you :)
From what I can see in the image, it looks like a Porter-Cable 22-Gauge Pneumatic Upholstery Stapler.
I'm watching very,, very carefully. At about 11:40, I can't see if you actually put that cardboard on before you added the fabric.
Yes, I do put the cardboard back on.
Think change color fabricthe small dining chair and back top
To much talking & camera too far away as I cannot see what she is doing !!
Fab tutorials
Wait, was that a ghost to the right of the screen at 10:01?? So freaky!!
Melyni Mason I saw that
Looks like the light from a car driving by...
I saw it
Ahora apparenty it is cardboard
No🚫🚫👎⛔ cardboard
Ha! I prefer to use other materials, but I also work a lot with what's already in the upholstered piece if it's in good condition.
