      @@raumaanking You should take a look at Chinese, Vietnamese or Indian or any Asian maths curriculum ( South Korea Curriculum is also good). You'll genuinely feel that A level maths is easier and you'll feel happy that you don't have to go through such stress and trauma just to get into a maths related course in a university

      @@achyuththouta6957 I get what you're saying but compared to a few other A Levels on this list it tends to be perceived as harder. The matter of East Asian countries is an entirely different educational environment and I think if someone were to have schooled there for years they would have naturally adjusted if you get what I mean.

      History is leagues harder than maths for me. Writing essays and understanding all of the content requires a lot of skill and time, while maths relies on your problem solving abilities and if you have a solid understanding of the content you don’t need to spend too much time memorising content.

    • @hawkeyedsentinel4648

      @@pinemarten6241 you can't say that to new spec maths, the exams for edexcel was so hard in 2019 that it was 50% overall for an A. You can obviously say that point for past papers before the new spec where the questions were repeated everytime, just in different looks but new spec A level maths literally gives you questions you never seen before, its a joke how difficult A levels science and maths has become compared to the past.

    I agree that languages are the "hardest" in terms of the kind of time it takes, but the exam itself is an absolute joke if you spend your free time immersed in the language. I hadn't done a lick of the Spanish A Level course, much less any revision, but after a couple of years of regular contact with the language (probably around an hour/day), out of curiousity, I took the listening and reading parts of the exam and scored full marks! It was lol easy, I'm talking playschool level.
    I was so shocked I went and read some forums to read the reactions of students who had taken that year's paper, and to my astonishment they were unanimously in agreement that it was _really_ hard. Unbelievable. Their issue was clearly that they had wasted their 'study' time revising conjugation tables and grammar "rules," when they should simply have been immersing.
    Language learning isn't "difficult" at all, it's just that it doesn't happen quickly, and there lies the "difficulty." But if you're "studying" rules and tables instead of simply spending time to listen and read, then it's going to be 1000x harder, if not impossible.
    One thing I will say is that you won't be _anywhere_ close to "fluent" when you've completed your A Level, unless you've also spent _thousands_ of hours immersed in it during those 2 years. The vast majority of university modern language graduates can barely order at a restaurant after 3-5 years of their language degree.
    There's no other way to learn a language to a 'functional' level than to immerse in it for thousands of hours, ideally 10s of thousands of hours. Those who tell you otherwise are either FOS, or else they've _grossly_ overestimated their level.

      But the problem with what you just said is that the educational system itself is flawed and you only have 1 to 2 years to do the course on top of that the amount of homework and assignments and workload makes it difficult.

    • @joeyjerry1586
      @joeyjerry1586 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re not wrong. I have two people in my Spanish A Level class who are natives and for them grammar just comes down to whether it actually sounds like something they’d say or not in the same sense that for English speakers, they don’t really understand how English grammar works; they just say whatever makes sense. Unfortunately, most people don’t have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spanish culture the way you have and have to learn by memorising words and grammar structure since they don’t exactly know what sounds ok in Spanish

      @@hawkeyedsentinel4648 The idea behind doing past papers is NOT to expect something similar in an actual exam. The whole point of the exam is to give you unfamiliar situations and test your application of concepts which you've learnt in physics. The whole point of doing past papers is to help you understand the concepts that you're struggling with and understanding why exactly you're not able to apply them to unfamiliar situations and to work on it. If you properly understand the content then most of your work will actually be done to be honest and understanding the content is hard.

    naaah no way is chemistry harder than physics. If anything, physics is as hard or even harder than further maths. Nearly every question in physics is purely applied knowledge, most of the written questions are off spec and expect you to apply to stuff that you never seen and its frustrating because its a waste of time relying on the practicals you done in school. A level chemistry is like GCSE level compared to physics imo.

      @daviddean707 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Around 1984 I took A level Chemistry seven times, every six months after the first year, at evening class, during a recession, when I had little money to spare. One of the jobs I was promised included rocket science research with a pass. The competition for sparse equipment, partners and the memorization involved crippled me and the final nail in the coffin was the senior lecturer, a marathon runner, telling me this was beyond my comprehension. I gave up there and then, did twelve marathons and got a GPA 3.6 in Social Science.
