@@yurijn7838 it’s very silk like around the wrists and alcantara on the palm, I’d say it’s pretty thin but certainly enough, very cosy glove and doesn’t feel cheap at the hand
I’m starting my first season karting next month. I’m stoked to see how it goes. Looking for gloves and I’m stuck between these and the Alpinestars 1-k carbon glove.
I actually have seen the alpinestars as well... they are pretty much the same glove with extremely slight visual differences. I think the main difference would be the material and feel of the rubber grip and colors... which is all personal preference... also, thanks for watching. Hope you got whatever info u wanted!
Thanks for the video! Started sim racing a few weeks ago and got myself the Alpinestars Tech 1 K Race V2 for a start. I wonder about the wear of the rubber stuff... as I don’t mind the glove to wear off but I want my wheel to be clean and do as less harm to the Alcantara. How about that 2 month later; what’s your impressions on the Rush’s?
Hey mate, thanks for watching and hoping the best for you and your racing... the gloves so far have held up pretty well (about 2 months in) the rubber shows no signs of falling off and although the alcantara has flattened out and become a bit Shiny, it shouldn’t be a problem to brush back up with a suede brush. My steering wheel has stayed protected so far. And the materials don’t seem to be wearing down (especially near the grips and the pads). I don’t think you would have a problem with wheel wear and tear if you use any gloves for that matter.
@@UnrealWheels alright. Thanks for the answer. Brushing up the Alcantara is good enough for me, I just don’t want rubber on my wheel! I’ll order a pair of OMP Rush‘s and see myself how they compare. The grip stripes on the inside hand of my Alpinestars are sometimes folding over a bit so I can feel it when holding the wheel. It’s not totally flat anymore and could be due to a bit more stretch after 2 weeks of wearing them. It’s really minor but I’m sensitive to that stuff. A gift and a curse, I’m telling you. 😂
@@UnrealWheels after seeing reviews of these and the price on Amazon and with Christmas coming soon I've added these on my list and I'm super excited cause I got Alpinestar solid karting gloves but I need something more comfortable so hopefully these will feel a lil bit better once I try em on
@@bradleywyatt3244 these feel perfectly comfortable in my hands, but if you want a really comfort oriented glove, maybe consider looking into karting gloves with exterior stitching instead.
@@commwarrior89 They are really good, and the alcantara is holding up really well even tho i haven't been using the gloves that much, cause they get kinda hot.
Those are mechanic specific gloves I think, although I do see some advantages they could have. But a few reasons I could think for choosing these would be that they are specifically made for driving along the whole pre curved fingers thing, but it’s totally up to you. Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@Elias_g1 holding up really well. Only sign of wear are the creases on the fingers and as I mentioned in the video the flattened alcantara, other than that, absolutely nothing.
I just bought them...How are they at the level of wear? Did they get a hole in the fingers? I'm coming from the mecha one and don't want the same experience...I know that the video isn't that new but
So far I’ve used used the them pretty much every day for a few months now… haven’t noticed any holes or major wear. The most I have right now is a slightly peely part on the silicone grip
Hi, i've been looking for a long time for karting gloves and i want to buy these, but i can't really decide which size i should get (some size charts say i should get size 10 (M) and others size 11 (L)). I took many measurements and my left palm is 22,5 cm and my right palm 23,5 cm more or less. Which ones do you think i should get? Thanks in advance!
Hey, try to use the sizing charts that are consistent with each brand. I think you should be able to find a sparco specific sizing chart… I just gave it a look, and the chart seems to say that size 10 fits from 20-24 cm, so since both your hands fit under that criteria, size 10 makes the most sense. You generally want to have a well fitting glove, as having it too loose, can result in it falling off during intense karting. Hope that’s the information you needed. Thanks for watching and Good luck!
@@UnrealWheels Thanks! I'll get the size M then, my fingers are very long but if they arrive and they don't fit me properly i'll just return them and buy the size L ones instead, no big deal. Cheers!
I have these exact gloves - used them for about 5 races days and they’re completely falling apart - invest in better ones if you’re going to race properly
The way you adjusted the glove bag at the beginning was so satisfying
Just bought mine, love the review man, extremely helpful
Thanks mate, hope you enjoy your gloves!
How thic is the glove?
I would say something like 1.5 mm… not 100% sure, but it’s significantly thicker than average clothes.
