This animated reconstruction shows the runway incursion incident between an United A320 and a Delta Airlines B757 at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport on July 11, 2007. My flight instructor taught to always look even if you have permission to cross a runway. I knew better, anyway.

Robert Gift almost every accident or incident in aviation is easily avoidable in retrospect. If you're the all knowing aviation expert, tell me; in your thousands of hours of aviation experience, have you ever had any incidents or accidents? Any close calls, which with hindsight, could have been easily avoided? Or are you just such an incredible aviator that your entire career has been absolutely flawless?
The real question is if there were any mishaps which one never realized _almost occurred_ .
When I cross a street withe WALK signal, I still look for oncoming vehicles. Those pilots are too stupid to be flying.
Robert Gift my apologies, I didn't realize you were so extremely intelligent that you can predict every possible outcome of every situation in the air and on the ground as well, and avoid them before they happen. So what you're saying is if nobody realizes the incident occurs, then it doesn't count?
Yaah. I also look when crossing an intersection with a newly green traffic signal.
Saying how many times have I been lucky and have not known about it. PS: It's easy to look for landing aircraft.
