    This is what a restaurant is supposed to look like: loaded with a huge variety of delicious, healthy raw vegan dishes, salads, desserts, drinks. If we're starting to have more raw restaurants, then the prices will be more affordable as well. I'd definitely go and get that discount if I lived in that area. Thanks for the review 🌺 💚 🍓

    It is great that they believe you are legit enough to allow you to go into their back room. That says a lot about how good businesses treasure you, and legitimatizes your critique. I myself highly treasure your advise and value your advice. I constantly monitor and watch all your videos.

    My wife and I are on day 23 of a juice feast and we're feeling amazing. Our family has been plant based vegan for almost five years. We looking to go totally raw after we're done cleansing. We're both very active and are wondering where you get the bulk of your calories from. What's a typical day look like when you're eating at home. There are a lot of good "cooking" tips here for us. Thank you for all of your videos; when friends are looking for a juicer, I of course send them your way.

    Thank you. I live here in Los Angeles and will definitely check them out. My money would be spent mostly on the juices and Vegan gelato. I do not find lots of nuts to be the best for my digestion, but the gucamole burger seems amazing. This place is high quality. Reminds me of Juliano Raw (Santa Monica) back in the day. A LOT of money went into building and furnishing this place. An ex and I operated a raw food cafe back in 1993 in Los Angeles. We were ahead of our time. We operated in the red the entire year we were open. We used a lot of local organic produce and pressed our own juices. The overhead was insane! Again, thank you for the review. One thing" "My girlfriend, my girlfriend, my girlfriend". You said this a thousand times (slight exaggeration). We understand she is your GIRLFRIEND. As such, maybe you can just call her by name, which I am not sure what her name is. I think you said Lauren?

    • @chantalynn
      @chantalynn 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will love them! Did you ever have Juliano Raw shakes? I had the blueberry and the chocolate and thought I would never see them again... Well, they have them at Wild Living Foods!!! AMAZING!!!

    • @rawlawgirl
      @rawlawgirl 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chantalynn LA When I saw some of the food, I wondered if Juliano was somewhere hiding in the kitchen! I am partially kidding. No, I never had Juliano's shakes. Juliano started out with reasonable prices, then they slowly crept up. One little raw taco on a purple cabbage leaf became $25. I refused to pay that much so I went to the Santa Monica Coop and bought the ingredients and had ten raw tacos. Raw food restaurants, high quality ones, are EXPENSIVE. It starts out as a grand idea and the prices creep up when they realize it is not sustainable. Café Gratitude and Sage Vegan Bistro do so well because they serve both raw and cooked. The Springs was FABULOUS look what happened to them. I do not even think they are full Vegan any more. Definitely not all raw. They were closed for about six months or more and reopened with a mixed cooked and raw menu. Plus, like John said, too many vegan restaurant raw dishes are filled with nuts, nuts, and more nuts. I mostly keep my distance from nuts because I just think they are too hard to digest and are too dense! I do better with a bowl of rice than a pound of nuts mashed into raw dishes that pretend to be like their cooked counterparts!

    • @chantalynn
      @chantalynn 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you! I was wondering why these vegan places are so expensive! I was not a huge fan of Juliano's food but it is a place for me to go meet my vegan friends. I liked their soups and loved their shakes. I am not a huge fan of Cafe Gratitude's food either but I support them by meeting friends there and I do love their all organic concept AND most important their love for soil health which is so important to our food supply as well as positive global climate change. One of the owners is a founder of Kiss the Ground, a non-profit that sets out to educate people about soil and carbon sequestration...all speaks to me...
      I didn't love Sage either. Again, it's a place to meet people. Wild Living Foods gelato is WAY BETTER than Sage's... Sage's soft serve was decent...
      Anyway, I think you would enjoy Wild Living Foods. You'll be pleased with their juices and gelato and shakes/smoothies. As far as their foods, maybe there are options without so much nuts... I will now look next time I go down to see how much nuts there is in the different dishes...
      I am a Santa Monican. I love the Co-op! You can make me tacos anytime! : )

    Hi John, been following you for along time and I understand your take on raw foods, they literally saved your life, my question is what's your opinion on cooked foods since a lot of them like potatoes, rice and other staple foods have been also life saving for a lot of people and wouldn´t even been eaten if they were raw. Sorry if you already answer this but your videos are so long sometimes i don't have time to watch them all but they are always a pleasure to watch and listen :)

    I worked in a brand new raw and cooked vegan restaurant for 3 months as a production chef summer 2016 , making the kale chips , the crackers , juices, and other things.. just general all round position... alongside master raw food chefs.. it really was a dream job.. and i loved every day ... unfortunately the restaurant had financial problems and had to cut staff.. i was demoted to pot wash ,, and the pot wash room had no ventilation system .. it was the size of a closet... i was breathing in dishwashing chemical vapours from the dishwashing machine 8 hours per day ,, it was like a chemical steam room.. i could feel the toxic effects on my lungs.. so i decided to leave... i hope one day i can continue the path in a raw vegan / vegan chef industry ..
    I have now since been working in Argos warehouse.. picking electrical goods and consumerist junk for my weekly wages in the heart of an industrial nightmare.....
