After the Alatreon I hunted in G Rank earlier this afternoon, I just had to come back to give this another listen because it perfectly fits that hunt entirely. I went in that hunt with a team of four, but two left mid hunt at roughly around the five minute mark. The third player, like the absolute unit he was, stayed with me and refused to bail despite the near impossible odds. We fought this for at least 25-30 minutes, with many close calls, but we managed to take it down without carting. And we simply didn't just take it down and call it a day, we cut the tail, broke the horns, and got a few other part breaks. We turned impossible odds around into a huge accomplishment because we refused to give up on it. To say I'm proud of what the two of us managed to pull off is a bit of an understatement! You know who you are teammate, and you're awesome!
Burraku Dusk Among the randoms who ditch you or straight up suck, randoms like the ones you encountered are truly a treasure among trash. I had similar experience to yours where I too had to duo an Alatreon with someone while others bailed.
i think this happens a lot specifically with alatreon, i remember multiple times where 1 or 2 people would quite early-mid hunt, also happened quite a bit with amatsu in MHGen, although they would usually stick around for more like 10-15 minutes before leaving unlike alatreon where people would usually leave in the first 5 minutes
In mhwi I never could beat Alatreon. Whenever I tried to do it online all my teammates and me died or he did escaton judgement. But I didnt give up.I usually just entered solo Alatreon quests to get some free materials doing wallbangs, but never actually trying to kill it. I, without knowing mastered Alatreon´s mechanics and attacks. One day I said to myself "Alr lets try to get him to the lowest health possible in solo" for fun. In that hunt I actually killed him solo, without carting. I was almost dying from pure unbelief that I had when I finished that quest solo. It caused quite the emotion on me as I started playing mh on MH3. Now my goal in mhwi is to help players beat Alatreon. Note: I solo´d the regular version of Alatreon´s quest, not the easy version.

Trying to solo this guy was one of my favourite things to do in generations. Could never find any lobbies who didn't immediately triple cart so I had to learn to solo farm his weapons and hearing this gives me PTSD flashbacks
Huh, my team of randoms tend to be decent. Probably because of my equip sets all about the consistent damage (lagi armor, element bow) or massive damage spikes for part breaking (normal up + crit up armor, shagaru heavy bowgun).
i have way to many of his gems in generations, havent got to him yet in 3U, but if its anything like it is in gen, i'll have like, way to many zennies...
Well, think Alatreon as a gigantic teostra with instead of only fire he can control all elements. And he also loves to spam them all over the place. So weah you're pretty screwed, g rank Alatreon is no joke, some of his attack will one shot you. And he has like a billion HP.
I played MHtri, MH Fredom unite, MHtri Ultimate, MH4U, MHgen and... well, MH world. For me, Alatreon its the hardest monster of all the saga, but I dont have any idea how they will port it. In MHtri it was an aberration of hard, but in MHgen with all the "new" stuff that they added it was a lot of easier
@@reimuhakurei2208 G Rank Alatreon will only one shot you if your defense is too low. It'll come close, but not empty an entire health bar. ...Unless you're talking about G Rank Alatreon in MH3U? In that case, I wouldn't know sense I've only fought it in MHGU.
