dude...its a 1981 bike ROFL ... you can get a modern bike 2002 or so for around 1000.... as far as the lowball goes... im TELLING YOU right now... TELLING YOU not making a probability, im stating fact... if you went to a REAL pawn shop theyd offer you $100-$200 for that POS... dude i see idiots like you comment all the time about this place lowballing... REAL pawn shops offer like 10-15% of actual value... dont believe me ? next time you're driving by stop in one and try and sell something just to see what their offer will be
Well...yes...they're not collectors. They're resellers. If they can't get it for a lower than retail price, there's literally no point in them buying any of the stuff that comes in. People always make the mistake of thinking pawn shops will pay even remotely close to retail. You're basically charged a heavy tax for speed and convenience when you go to these places.
Its a pawn shop, why doesnt anybody get that. The point is that that will by almost anything at a price they can make money on. Everybody thinks their junk is worth more than everybody elses. You will only get a fraction of the true value at a pawn shop. Also the gas tank looks like it was painted with a brush. $400 is more than fair, its not worth much more than that.
wormer66 The fact that it’s a 1981 is why it has some extra value. It’s not just old, it is vintage. It’s in nice condition and it’s a 38 year old bike. It may not perform as well as a newer one, but that isn’t the point. Look at classic car pricing. Classic bikes don’t have as much of a markup, but if they are relatively original and in good condition they always have some value.
Those older two strokes are becoming very collectible that bike with $300-$500 put into it would sell quickly at $2k-2.5k and will continue to appreciate in the coming years...missed opportunity
This bike is easily worth $1200 and older 2 strokes are actually faster than newer ones because the powerband is more aggressive on older bikes are nice
would have gave him $1200 all day Cory sure is a low baller but he's running a pawn shop. The guy should put it on eBay he can get $1200 + more. t started first kick as well so the motor is definitely healthy.
A bike in this condition could get $2500 in Straya ! We have classic classes here and very popular with racers compared to new bikes with power valves and the new breed of 4strokes. People here in Australia love the old stuff and it's worth a fortune here
I had both a 1980 and 1981 CR80 when they came out. Still kicking myself for selling them lol. Loved the crazy powerband of the 1980 more than the smoothed out and even powered '81. The '80 really was a little rocket.
If I'm not mistaken the cr80 elsinore was only available from 1980 to 1983, just before the Hannah years at Honda. In 1983 it dropped the highly sought after elsinore badge to just cr80. Soon after mono shock rear suspension came and the classic look of the bike changed drastically. From the early 70s (73?)until thst point the smallest and perhaps most famous entry level factory racer was the cr125 elsinore. That said, this was a limited manufacture, jr's factory race bike offered to the public. It would be cool if he had the original head too as most of those went to the wayside after the first or second exchange of piston rings. New this bike sold for between $1000 to $1300. The paint job is a little off but it is all there. It started and idled great. I hope this man waited for a collector who could easily bring it back to all its glory and appreciate it for it's clasdic racing heritage. I'd say a price of $700-$800 would be fair. As a private sale, I'm sure this bike could be had with some other classic goodies in a sweet little package deal to get him closer to his asking price. This guy said he had something like 27 bikes so he might have some other swag from the ages (helmets, body guards, boots, helmets, posters) that would add to an enthusiast's collection.
80 to 81 was only years of Elsinore dropped that badge going into 82. I had 2 1982 cr80s they are way more$ because of the transition from fuel shocks to the pro link single shock in the rear but yet was still air cooled not liquid cooled. The whole cr line dropped the Elsinore badge for 1982 from the 80 all the way to the first production open class bike from Honda the cr450. Roger deCoster was instrumental in designing that entire line when he started working for Honda after leaving suzuki
Man i cant do 1200. This things got 2 tires, and that eats space on my floor, then theres gas money spent when prospective customers wanna hear it run. Ill do 30 bux, and i dont feel good doing that.
This guy knows nothing about bikes. $425 !!!!! I thought $1200 was cheap as they could easily double their money. As far as needing work it'd be very little. Best advice is, never go near these brokers.
lmao... the paint job on it looks like shit like it was done with a paint brush... you need to watch it in 1080p you can REALLY tell that its garbage.... besides man its a zillion years old... why would anyone want that? you can get MODERN dirt bikes for less than 1200
Well i live in northern indiana and you can get 2006 or so KX 450's or 250f's (or whatever brand you prefer) for 1200-1500 ALLLLLL DAYYYYY LONGGGGGG.... condition varies if you wait two weeks you can get one that is in good shape with no leaks that needs nothing... j/s
The 1981 is the second year of the Cr 80 and the guy that offered $400 is a shithead and obviously he doesn't know about these old Honda's and how much there worth. Just because this is the second year there is really no difference from the 1980 and 1981 bikes. These are worth about $5000.
Duderocks5539. Corey never fails to prove how stupid he is he is just that dip s*** kid isn't it he's lucky Pawn Stars make some money as a TV show cuz god hes stupid
The 82 cr80 is worth much more than either the 80 or 81 the 82 was a transition year when they changed to a single rear shock i.e. pro-link suspension but it was still air cooled. And they made fewer of them. I had 2 of them in 1982 one stock and one modified for 2 different classes. Brand new still in the crate they were 768.00 each. Also had the 1980 model that I got new for Christmas that one was 487.00 still have all the receipts and owners manual from them
He is confusing jt with DG. JT was a appearal manufacturer they didn't make and components for bikes. That's just a reverse rub on sticker from back in the day. What a dweeb
Just checked my old Cycle World magazine from back then. They were $698 brand new! Gonna need new shock seals pretty soon too. Where ya gonna get those?
Website that sells parts for these older honda models specifically, you can find every part to these bike no problem. I use to restore them from my uncle when I was a kid and we never had problems finding the parts.
As a motocross guy, 400$ for that beautiful bike is blasphemous.
I agree!
$400 but it should be $ 20.000
$400?? $400 is an insult to the motocross community
I'd have paid 750 and felt like I stole it
Totally agree, I felt insulted watching this.
Corey is so full of it.
Dpn't trust someone who has a wind up hand shake.
Wow! Thats cheap for that bike! Id pay way more than $1,200! I would of loved to have a 80cc two stroke dirt bike when i was in my teens!
Defo there 2500 in uk in v rough cond, 4-5000 when restored m8
Theres loads here in the UK hahaha cheap as chips
These sellers need to sell to buyers, not resellers who will rip them off.
400 are you joking me!!!! This bike is clean for its age!!! This man is crazy for not taking it for 750!!! I would love to pay 750 for this bike
400? Is that a joke! They always lowball everything
Simon Huff you pay it then

Gosh, I should have kept my old 1980 CR80R 😢. Bike was pretty beast.
Those older two strokes are becoming very collectible that bike with $300-$500 put into it would sell quickly at $2k-2.5k and will continue to appreciate in the coming years...missed opportunity
Been involved in motocross my entire like. That was easily a $2,000+ bike.
3500 in today’s market
Kind of looks like Kid Rock.
I thought the same thing.
JBE Vince Neil
Thats what i thought too lol
I thought the same thing! I came here just to see if anyone else did also!
This bike is easily worth $1200 and older 2 strokes are actually faster than newer ones because the powerband is more aggressive on older bikes are nice
I am so glad you didn't sell that 80 that bike is definitely worth 1200 bucks
Nah, bike is around 600 if u buy it in parts ( working).
john reilly I agree probably even more
john reilly it's a 1980's bike you can get get a second hand upto date dirt bike for less $1200😂 no way is this bike worth $1200 100% not lol
Lol yeah he most likely brought it to get views for he's bike.... Now its easier for him to sell it then for 1200$
No way its worth $1,200. It has a few dents, various parts need polished and/or chromed, paint is coming off in several places, etc.
The paint looks like it was done with a brush but still what kind of brainless person would throw out $400 for a running vintage 2 stroke?
Bro bare minimum 900 if u got lucky.
It’s the pawn business, why would he buy that at top price lol just to make little money, people complain but don’t know how the business works.
would have gave him $1200 all day Cory sure is a low baller but he's running a pawn shop. The guy should put it on eBay he can get $1200 + more. t started first kick as well so the motor is definitely healthy.
@Ronald Heinlein your 84,s got a air cooled elsinore engine put in m8?av got 83 and 84 liquid cooled they stopped the air cool in 82 did u sell it
Probably starting first kick because it started before
brother come buy my 1980 for 1200 man
@@rjkosheba7711 still for sale?
@@francislyons632 nope sold it
My first dirtbike. To the right person its totally worth $1200.
I raced a 73 XR75 & have one restored was only farm ridden. I would give him $1200 in a heart beat.
The engine is worth more than $400
I would buy that bike for 1,200 even more! 400$ seriously?!
JeremyPorridge they are a broker, there if you are desperate for a quick sale. if they pay fair money they go out of business.
JeremyPorridge r u a pawn broker
bargain of the century
I would have gave him 1200 in a heartbeat

No, he looks like a combination of Kid Rock and Vince Neil, lol !

Still have my 1980 cr80 elsinore. Was my dads bike when he was 8. Still runs but its really rough. Im looking to restore it next winter.
I had an Elsinore 250 great shape sold for $1,200
I was bought a 1981 YZ80 with MONOX the very first mono shock in back. I was 11 and it changed my life for the best.
If I'm not mistaken the cr80 elsinore was only available from 1980 to 1983, just before the Hannah years at Honda. In 1983 it dropped the highly sought after elsinore badge to just cr80. 80 to 82 m8 they changed on 83 this elsinore,s worth some coin 1200 al day ad hav give him1500 if he asked me

Sounds like Cory doesn't know about vintage dirt bikes he could have gave that guy the 1200 and still made a grand
I would have bought that for 750 all day long!!!!
Love that bike
JT head ?? JT was a gear manufacturer no components were ever made by jt. He is confusing jt with DG. And the DG heads were anodized gold.
The disrespect is real.
400???
I would've turned around immediately !
I have a 1980 cr80r in great shape and runs excellent, I bought it from original owner.
Man i cant do 1200. This things got 2 tires, and that eats space on my floor, then theres gas money spent when prospective customers wanna hear it run. Ill do 30 bux, and i dont feel good doing that.
Honda didn't come out with the CR80R until 1980. If you wanted to race a Honda in the 80 class prior to 1980, you had to get an XR75 4 stroke
macroevolve the yamaha yz-80 made Honda up their game.
Older model? They came out in 1980. The only thing Corey rode when he was a fat kid was the small yellow bus to school with Dumb-ly.
You could get$1200 for that of Craigslist all day long. $400 is an insult.

bike was easily worth 1200.
lol 1200 was a steal for that bike
Totally agree don't sell 4 $400 noway.
CR80 IS CRAZY BIKE
This takes me back. It reminds me of the 1980 Xr 80 I had.
What he said about the jt racing head is a joke. That is just a sticker on the head. JT Racing sold motocross gear, not hop up parts.
It's a pawn shop. How can anyone expect to get any type of fair market value?
I use to have a 1980 cr 80 I paid 230 dollars 4 it in the 7th grade and let me tell u it was fast! the best 230 I ever spent!
400 is an insult.
why is kid rock selling his bike ?
abelucious cause he sucked in biker boyZ
More like vince neil
Because he hasn't had a hit since 2001
An exhaust for that bike costs 400. 1200 is a fair price. Restored ones go for like 3000 plus like he said
stay with $1200.! that thing is sweet!!!
If the guy wants to sell the bike....put it on Craigslist...DUH!!!
That bikes worth every bit of 1,500 if not more
Dude 1200 bucks is not enough money
400 for that bike in that condition is just offensive
Happy 40th Anniversary to the 1981 CR80R
Omg I had one of these new. Loved that bike. $750?? Could of sold that for $1200. Sweet bike tho
Kid Rock fallin on hard times. sellin off the bike hahaha
I still have my 1986 Honda XR80. 4 stroke trailbike that went forever on a tank of gas.

well 5k is about what he'd sell it for and spend it all on sushi/hookers
Defo m8 ad av snapped his hand off for 1200 makes you wonder why that seller took 750 when he said it was worth 2500
It’s worth 1200 for sure
The 82 cr80 is worth much more than either the 80 or 81 the 82 was a transition year when they changed to a single rear shock i.e. pro-link suspension but it was still air cooled. That thing would go for at least grand UK sterling £ here in the UK!
425 hahaha maybe a Yamaha or Suzuki but not a Kawasaki or Honda 2 best bike brands ever definitely could have flipped for about 2000
Two stroke engine, what a smoke! :)
That bike is cool bro I wish I had that when I was a kid
When he said 400 I punched a hole through my screen
$400 for that classic vintage beauty?! Is he out of his gourd? That bike is worth at least a grand! I paid $1200 for a vintage HONDA MB5!
He can get double the price, especially now on market place. I do it all the time. *shrugs*
Vince Neil from Motley Crue lol
This is more painful to watch as a motocross person
What the seller didn’t understand is they had to frame it because nobody will buy it if it’s not framed and that costs money
remember he has to frame it!!
What a lowball offer. Ill give you $1200 right now
This is an insult to the dirt bike community
I don't know how old he wants it to be.. honda cr 80 first yeat was 1980 .. 16 hp
I'll take it for $1200
Thought it was Vince Neil at first but he isn't as fat.
Now I know where did they got vice city motorcycle sound from haha
That is not a jt cylinder head, its a stock one... shows how much they know
Absolutely correct Andy!

The only time I ever heard of 'Elsinore' was in the movie Strange Brew. Nice bike, eh?
Any idea what you're looking to get out of it Point Break?
The owner should come back with a frame around it and talk to Rick...
Are you kidding me 750 dollars for a cr80 1981 there worth about 4000 to 5000 dollars in that condition

Ahhh, I remember that sound. Chubby kid rock just got screwed
Isn't it the same model, just in a different color as the one John Connor was riding in Terminator 2? 😎
No he was riding an xr 80 they just dubbed in 2stroke sound
I have an 07 cr85
I’d hang on to it too!
