I hope to never be on the enemy team and just see half the enemy team come out of a heli. Although, it would be a dream come true for a mounted MG, but a living nightmare for anyone on that objective

I use GLs in Reforger but Squads very unrealistic with GLs. Ill pop the rotors as they land then go cyclical on the GL. No one ever survives lol. Pretty sure GLs do almost nothing to any vehicle in Squad for whatever reason.

The landing's rules for hot drop (4K hours veteran super dick pilot)
- prepare all the crew before the drop during the flight (psychologic preparation = awake )
- anticipate the drop call 2 or 3 second before landing : 1 seconde for the "delay" (proximity / local voice have a delay ) + .5 second reaction time + 2 second for execute the F drop (radial menu action)
- The pilot is, and will be in 99% time, responsible of everythings ! perfection is the goal
I'm the HAT that blew you up both times in the video. I was aiming at you the entire time during the first drop, but you were barely covered by the bunker you were next to. My entire team was laughing and losing their minds. I went 24/2/27 that round thanks to you lol

A rule of thumb I've always held onto for transporting troops in any game, be it arma, squad, battlefield or whatever is that I am not waiting for more than 3 seconds or so for people to get out. Theres always those one or two people who hold you up long enough to get you and possibly more people killed. King of the hill on arma 3 taught me that lesson lmao.

Yeah, the chopper needs to hover within 100m of a radio to drop off Supply and Ammo. That's why he was waiting for the SL, not for troops to get out.

If anyone plays Planetside 2, this has the same energy as a Galaxy dropping an entire Platoon on the capture point.

I used to love combined Outfit Galaxy drops. Dropping two platoons worth of dudes directly onto the point was the most fun ever.

my buddy jake tried a 17 man hot drop on another server... he ate a rocket and got set on fire. panicked and hit the ground too hard and got a 15 day auto tk ban lmao (server had a bot set up to ban intentional tk'ers that disconnect within 5 mins of tk'ing and not apologizing...)

I used to be a badass pilot as well but got fed up with them changing the flight model every couple months and stopped flying. right about the time I was at the point I could hot-drop on a dime, they would change the flight model. nice to see there are people still perfecting the skill.
That must have been so crazy from the enemy perspective. I would be shitting my pants seeing half the team instantly in front of me after watching the heli barrel roll and reverse entry land.

first hotdrop caused a loss of 52 tickets. Second one caused a loss of 31. They have achieved nothing, just wasted tickets that could have helped them win.

I used to do this in Arma 2 on PvE servers way back then. The bots being on the highest difficulty meant my hot drop turns unto a drop and emergency landing. They always would snipe the back rotor with a AK and pit me in a tail spin.

That first clip was amazing but the reason they all got wiped out after you successfully drop them is because they had no leadership. If had been an SL in the back , I would’ve been screaming the plan at the top of my lungs the whole way there when you have that many people you don’t need A hab or even a rally point if you have a good coordination, that was amazing but fuck those guys for screwing the pooch

Some say that all 27 people died minutes after landing. Some say that the round was lost due to nobody playing armor. Some ~even~ say...that Talil is the worst map in the game, only designed for helicopter pilots.

Mass spawn and charge tactics have really ruined this game lol. Plays like a weird mix of COD in firefights, BF in terms of tactics, with a slight bit of Arma logistics thrown in but purposely dumbed down a lot.
I don't even play Squad or fly choppers anymore... but I can appreciate this shit
