Nathan, with all the tall barn poles you have plus the roof space, have you ever considered some solar panels and battery packs for the Saw- Barn and the other buildings to be used for lighting and a couple of wall plugs? Could be useful in addition to running power. You have the open sky for it
Merry Christmas Nathan! I hope you all enjoyed your pizza dinner. I’ll bet Bruno sure loves that as well😊. Always love how transparent and genuine you are, it’s refreshing. Robert Milton is great as you have said, a real teacher. Happy New Year too.
In all the years of watching, I have noticed a big increase in your skills with the flipper and the hydraulic lifter/clamp. Cheers and Merry Xmas from down under.
Nathan we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The 31st my wife and I are married 41 years so we will probably go out and eat somewhere good. Thanks for all the great videos. 👍❤️🎄
Have you ever had anyone approach you about buying your opening cuts as log-face siding to create a log look on a modern stick-built home? I bet you could get a decent price. I know nothing about sawing logs so it might be more trouble than it is worth, but rather than firewood or the burn pile you might be able to generate a few more dollars from your logs.
Well, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hope your Pizza was delicious. Looking forward to seeing you put up some of that poplar that's coming out of the kiln. Enjoy the weather. We had 5 below zero the other day here in New Hampshire.
Merry Christmas 🎄 & Happy New Year’s Day to The Elliott family. From Texas. It was 68 degree day on our Christmas Day 2024. May 2025 be a wonderful exciting New Year for us all. 🤠🙏
Enjoy the current warm weather...mid January in just few weeks...you will be burning 🔥 a lot of firewood...make sure your anti-freeze on all your vehicle radiators window washing fluid, equipment, and water spigots are ready for it. Its coming in hard and 🥶 extremely cold. Prepare accordingly. HEADS UP BURRRRR🥶 And dont forget about the animals...dont want stiff chickens and frozen Earl 👍✌
Hope your Christmas was wonderful. I am sure Bruno had a great time. Nothing wrong with pizza for Christmas dinner if that is what you want. We had homemade chicken noodle soup. Have a recovering surgery patient in the family and that is what he wanted, so momma came through. Happy New Year to you, Linda and Bruno.
Happy Christmas and have a great New Year to all you guys from My family to yours across the pond. My mill will be up and working early in the new year so I'll keep you posted. Yours Gerald W.
LOL!! Giving "The Professor" props for that addition is spot on!! I have mentioned a few other things Robert does that I think would be kicking like chicken!! I can assure you one is gonna be the absolute first one I do before I ever burn a single molecule of deisle!! Thanks for another great video Nathan, always relaxing to watch you run that mill!!!!
Hello from Collinwood Tennessee like your videos suggestion make you long box to catch your sawdust take it out wait the tractor make the box to dump just a suggestion. 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
If you had a second roller table, you could place it in 6 the backside of the mill opposite of the one you just placed, for good lumber, or for lumber that needs edged. Roll and sort, roll and sort.
Happy New year to you and your family from down here in southeast corner of West Tn.!! Man! The weather here for the rest of this week is just like your Christmas Day. Maybe this will be the case for our whole winter.
I'm surprised your rollers are not on a slope. Hope your Christmas was well for you and your family. Looking forward to the new year with you. Cheers, Lee
Years ago, at Thanksgiving, my ex and kids made homemade personal pizzas. We reasoned, if turkey was so good, why don't we have it more often? We prepped all the toppings and each of us got our own crust. It was fun to make our pizzas just the way we liked them. The kitchen smelled amazing and we sat down and ate all we could. Thanks for sharing. Happy new year.
Short videos is ok to me, it's the content that matters & yours are always pretty good Nathan. I like that last log you cut. You said that it had been on the ground too long at the start, but gee, it gave some very good boards. Hope your Christmas was a good one. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
Nathan, Happy New Year to you and your family, I noticed an LT35 in your saw mill shed, what's up ? I indeed have eaten Greg's Pizza, my former in-laws lived close by in Timberbrook, and if I'm not mistaken they sliced the pizza with large scissors. Have a great day.
Really respect and enjoy family traditions at Christmas. Made me smile. Hope Christmas was great and I hope the new year brings us all good heath and happiness. Thanks for the videos my friend.
Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year Nathan, to you and your family!! By the way, I love your theory on the pizza for Christmas, and when it's a good flavored one, it is a treat anytime!!
You might consider repeating the same table you for the off cuts on the lumber you are moving to the edger. Pile it up on 4x4s on the ground, pick it up with Mr Kato, turn it 90 degrees, move it to the edger and off load it without picking it up.
I do love Poplar! It's so versatile and affordable makes it a fav along with Cherry. They both machine well and I think they both look nice with just a clear oil finish.
Pizza! I would have guessed sushi or soy burgers.... Thanks for all you videos this year. Hopefully the Mrs. and Bruno are done unwrapping presents and gifts by now. Hope there were a few closks in the mix. Never can have enough time! have a safe New Years and don't worry about us. As long a video drops by Thursday!!!!! Thanks again, you are a great investment of time and fantastic teacher.
Well, it has taken years but you have successfully achieved a good working system with the LT 70 Super wide and the Edger, all within a few steps apart. Very nice popular for the walls. Nothing wrong with pizza, Love it having all the heavy equipment under the same roof with extra working area. You have come a long way.
And if you had a long trailer that you could park next to the mill for catching your sawdust and when it’s gets full, hook onto it and take it wherever it is that you take it
My husband had the biggest shrimp batter fried and I had fish and chips. Pizza would be fine with us too. Christmas day was beautiful 85 degrees mostly sunny and a little breezy on South Padre Island TX.
Wonder if you either raise the roller off feeder or lower the far end of that roller off feed, then you could just put them on and let them roll down and off onto the 4Xs And if you raised the away from saw end of the infeed 4Xs then you could just put them on and let them roll up to the loader arms
Seasons greetings to all you good folks in the world. Let’s hope we all stay well and prosper in 2025. Keep safe everyone and let’s all wear a smile as long as we are able!
I was surprised that you didn't saw both of those pieces of Poplar at the same times to cut down on fuel. Something to do with clamping? I hope you had a Merry Christmas and that you and yours have a Happy New Year, jack
Merry Christmas 🎄 and happy new years to you and your family , may you all be blessed with many more years. I am waiting anxiously for your next chapter ,love your videos and work. 🪵😎👍
Nathan Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I was thinking how would a sort of table almost square work between the saw out feed and the edger for sliding boards on to it for staging then into the edger. to see if it would work Mister Koito in that spot for 1 log and see what you think.
Nathan i'm just thinking outloud if you had something put at the last 2 rollers when you taken the boards that you want it could hold them there and don't end up on the slabs that you don't want

We might be interested in a "THAT'S A SHOCKER" series of merch. Seems to be an oft repeated phrase endeared by all who watch. Just a thought.

Great video. You are correct about Gregs Pizza. I have had it twice and if I lived a little closer to JC it would be on my plate even more.
You bet!

Old sawmillers told me back in 1973 when I started “got to use your head workin here, son, this place will kill you!”

JABRA earbuds are the best I’ve found. I’ve been using them for the past 7 years. Best overall tone quality. I also use them when hunting.
For us, Christmas Eve is Spaghetti. Christmas Day is a brisket. I smoke the brisket so the sides are whatever anyone but me cooks. LOL
Put a couple of 2+4 along the sides of your sawhorse it will really firm them up .love your videos ! Good health to ALL.

What's with the LT35 in the background? Is that the Woodmizer loaner for the Virgina project?
yeah
Merry Christmas to you and family!
As that Poplar dries, will it maintain that greenish color or does that bleach out?
Stays unless exposed to sunlight
Lol...pizza. I had burritos smothered in red and green enchilada sauce. Festive.
Also make stuffed manicoti for Thanksgiving. Doesn't everybody? 😂
