Wait till you run it, it’s soooo durable, a genuine contender for the 16889 supremacy. It does run 3s, mines had 6 packs through it and it will come close to the speed. I let it cool off between packs if doing speed runs. The shocks are annoying, I’ve had to buy 2 sets to find ones that sit right, best off going slightly shorter than stick because the oil shock springs are stronger and it will sit to high. Bashed the snot out of mine with only a couple of very minor breaks. The weak points are the shell and the shell mounts. You will want shell mount spares . The esc is not water resistant so I run mine with a net and it does just fine.
Best $67 with coupon from Temu I've ever spent. I've take it to the skatepark a million times and I just can't break it. Also taped, ziptied, whatever it took to put a 3S in it, and it just takes takes the abuse. Wltoys 14001 shocks or mjx hypergo shocks are the best upgrade for this and REALLY changes the handling dynamics. Also the stock tires are dope af on pavement without the foam. Tires with foam are the next best upgrade to shocks for off road tho

Oil filled shocks cost $8 for a set of 4 from china. Not really any excuses 😕

I bought one. Lasted 2 batteries, then the diff failed. It's been over a month trying to get a fix from the seller. I got a lemon, but that's my luck I guess.
I just picked up one after watching several demos...id rather spend $80 for it the way it is and add my own shocks ..than pay $100 to have them install there oil shocks..15 min upgrade.
Is it easy to install?
For me it was..not sure if you can..many videos show how easy.good luck
I agree with the rant. I remember the days when bearings were optional parts. Along with oil filled shocks. And it was like night and day with those 2 basic upgrades.
Yeah I have the JJRC Q130 trophy truck (this truck is a JJRC rebrand) and it's fast. I don't have a 3S that fits but I just hoped for the best and threw one in and it was quite impressive. Not to mention TOUGH. I put around 60 packs through it of pure abuse and crashing and I never broke a thing other than the body. It finally broke and it was because the drivetrain was just so beat up, chipped, bent, rusted that the motor couldn't even spin the spur gear anymore. It's a beast though
So far this IS INCREDIBLE..its TOO DAMN FAST YOU literally can't follow it with your head ...
Oh, the box says it comes with a rudder machine! Must be handy for those big airs or deep dives. 😂
I'm so glad you saw that. 😂 I only saw it after I did the unboxing and missed the opportunity to make a joke off that. 😂 "Rudder machine" 🤦😂 I think I'm gonna call steering servos that from now on just to see who gets it. 😏
Is it me or is it another version of the Scy 16101 pro or Scy 16102 pro ? I've got the Scy 16101 pro and i changed the schock for the wltoys 14001, it fits perfectly.
yip just another version.Have the jjrc q130 brushless,q117 brushless and this.All the same under the shell.Great strong chassis and people complain about shocks and no foam in the tyres but at this price show me something thats faster and durable

I’m sick of buying these brushless version little cars with these stupid friction shocks it’s an absolute joke. With the amount of power, the brushless motors, have you think they could at least put in some oil filled shocks.
Also, even though the ESC does say to use 2S. I have run a 3S in it and it’s works absolutely fine . I used a 1500mah zee power battery. But had nowhere to strap the battery down as you can see the original battery holder runs through the cover of where the pinion and Spur are. 👍🏼🚗
I'll give it a go on 3S and see what happens. 😁
@@AussieRCPlayground yeah it should run ok for a while. For me it lasted a complete battery when I ran it in my gantry pro. And with the shocks, I upgraded to wltoys oil

@@demomanmlg I found the best ones were the WLToys 65mm shocks from eBay. Work a treat.

Friction shocks are a damn joke, just jack the price up $30 more and put some real shocks on it. Unacceptable

I have this monster..where the hell do I get spare parts?? I'm looking up sg116 beast max, etc but I need front and rear pillars and some wheels, if anyone knows in the US where to let me know please.. have all the part numbers and pictures in the booklet,.... but NO WHERE to order from lol. Great car...the max
Go to AliExpress, I have found all the parts there. The car is sold under different names, so look around for the best pricing. I'm actually thinking of buying a brushed version just for the parts as it works out way cheaper just to buy a whole new car. LoL.

Justified rant Vas. It's kinda frustrating especially as you said these little things are quick, but the handling is awful because of friction shocks. Imagine buying this for a little one and after driving it around the handling frustrates them and turns them off RCs.

The problem is we buy it anyway. So these companies don't give a crap. At least some companies don't give a crap. They're still making their money. And as long as you keep buying them without oil filled shocks they're going to think everything's fine. They'll think that it doesn't matter. And they're going to keep putting friction shocks on everything or just about everything. The thing is it's not that much more expensive to put oil filled shocks on which will make the car jump drive handle 10 times better. You would think they would want to put oil filled shocks on the car because it makes the car 10 times better so they would probably sell 10 times as much because the cars handle great and don't hire without bottoming out the chassis.
Dude, it’s a brushless crazy car for under 100$. I don’t mind having to get oil filled shocks for that price.

There's really no point in sueing companies like this, they're not a threat and I'm not even sure they're able to sue them. And even if they could, what would they get out of it? These companies are small or sister companies of a convoluted network that it's just not worth the hassle. Well, that's my opinion, but happy to be proven wrong...
It's a banggood special so you get what you pay for, a subpar toy that will easily break and not be easily repaired.
It’s more durable than larger hobby grade rc. Parts are available easily online for cheap.
Thank god you got the brushless version… I,nor anybody I know,even watch videos with brushed RC’s…
