Hey google algorithm is constantly improving so a 2 minute chat about shower heads won’t cut it anymore. For instance Now you may have to search it and then talk about it. Remember ads are paying people they KNOW will click on them. A 2min fling about cats won’t cut it even if google listens.

If I am talking to my self and I get a pickup location, like Target or Shop Rite, An ad for a random product pops up, but it tells me I can buy it at the store I am driving to.

You should test if the google voice search listens and changes ads. Something like clicking on the microphone icon, and talking about something, then cancel the search and see if it will still change ads.
I tried this myself, talking about phone services and all phone related stuff and on atleast 4 common web pages, were ads about Samsung, Sprint, and phone upgrade plans.
Well there is obviously a better chance of Pet Ads on a Pet related video :) That was most informative :) However besides getting lucky and finding a Pet Related Video randomly I don't see the connection between what you said into your mic and the Ads you saw for the most part :)

Note that I did NOT connect to his Wi-Fi at home, we weren't logged in through my TH-cam or Google account on his pc, I did not even charge my phone in his house.
