- Hello guys!
Here is a video on Mitsubishi L200 2005-2015 Front and rear differential oil service/replacement.
Please make sure you undo the top/level plug first before draining it and also check if you rear diff is limited slip or not as it might take slightly different gear oil then.

Thank you very much 😀
Thank you for this, now i can do mine this weekend!
You are welcome. All I as is just be careful and make sure everything is done up properly and nothing is leaking :)
2.3 liters full, - The full mark on the rear diff is approx 30mm lower from bottom of fill hole, there was problems with axle seals leaking so Mitsubishi lowered the full mark, to 2.3 liters full not 2.8
Top man🇬🇧👍🏻
Thanks bro. Very helpful to me.
Thank you for the support!
I'm glad that it's helping
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne any idea on the other comment I made brother. I need help with the amount of oil I need for a Mitsubishi pajero 1998 2.8 diesel. Also the thickness I am not sure 🤔?! I plan to do both trucks on the same. Seems very important to do changing the oil
Hello. Sorry I didn't see the other comments bud.
Are you in UK? There is a Morris lubrificant website where you can check the oil type and quantity
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne that’s cool. I am not in uk. But the cars both are from uk. The l200 and the pajero. I guess I could google that website?!
Yep you can do a manual search on it without using the reg and put all your details in. You will get oil choices, coolant and etc
Thanks for the instruction ! Very clear.
I have a problem with the drain plug of the rear differential.
It will not come loose.
Corrosion ? The car is 22 years old, 109.000 km on the clock.
The mechanic of my garage has damaged the head of the drain plug with an air wrench.
And it is now impossible to loosen it with an 24 millimeter wrench.
What should I do ?
Weld a nut on the plug ?
Do you know how I can remove this stubborn drainplug ?
Thanks for help.
Grtz. John
Hello. Thank you for your support.
Thats unfortunate. I hate when people use impact gun on things like that. It usually causes an issue like that.
The best thing for you now is to buy a new drain plug and with the old one you have to clean it very well and weld a big nut on it. Make sure its welded on properly and then it should come undone. I would first hit the drain plug quite few times with the hammer just to loose it up a little. Then weld nut on and hopefully that will do. You can try and have one person with a bar undoing it while the other one is tapping it with a hammer
Awesome video 👍,what does the big chunck of metal means on the rear diff magnet, normal wear or it's slightly damage? Cheers
Thank you! Much appreciated!
That is a bit of heavy use and probably delayed oil change.
Should be changed every two years to be honest if it's heavy use and does decent mileage
That oil did not look like LSD oil is it not limited slip disk on rear,it is on mine ?
Some are some aren't bud.
If you got a sticker then u got lsd
I’ve got this truck to do. L200 2005 2.5 d. and a pajero 2.8 d from 1998. Can you please tell me how much oil I need for the pajero please. I plan to do both trucks at the same time. So if I get all the stuff I need perfectly I should finish much quicker without any mistakes 😬
