the way the oil came out of the front diff it looks like your Breather is blocked ,,, as the oil didnt flow til you opened the filler bolt , can lead to pressure build up and blow the pinion seal Rob NSW Australia
Its normal, if you didnt open yet the filler plug, theres no flowing of air inside.. Same Scenarion when you are opening a bottle of water and pour it into the glass. But thanks for that comment, by the way, where is the breather located?
نص باستخدام الكاميرا My brother, it is normal that after changing the rear differential oil, there is no sound in the rear differential. This means there is no problem with changing the oil.
Im asking because i remove the shaft of central differential to forward differential to have space for starter motor. Some oil spilled on central diff. Where to refill oil of central?
The vehicle owner's manual specifies Mitsubishi Super Hypoid Gear Oil API GL-5 SAE 80 for front and rear differentials. Your on-line product selector page recommends Gear Oil 80W90 Mineral Oil with GL-5 specification as the only option.
@Scottadamsfan3481 the "freewheel" is the coupling sistem on the front axle. On the opposite side of the front diff there is a small gearbox like coupling system. It has a fork like the one you find inside the gearbox. The fork is acuated by the vacum capsule and locks the front drive shafts via a gear coupling. Like any other gear it needs oil to function correctly, I'm sure it is mentioned in the manual somwere. It is mentioned in the Mitsubishi Pinin manual wichs uses the same principal as the Pajero/Montero.
How you will determined a clean oil from that differential box?. I change the oil by mileage. Same with how you change your engine oil, by the mileage.
Thanks again, by keeping it simple it's given me the momentum to get around to doing mine! Regards from Australia!
Beautiful illustration

Muito bom!
Strange how no one flushed out the old oil anymore
How do you flush out the old oil? By adding air pressure or a flushing agent?
The oil wasn’t look bad
It was 130k km, on the clock and never change by the previous owner, the color are not same with the new oil.
@@emhonscottdhmtbmideastfree6658 what number of oil?
You can use GL-5 90w-90 or a fully synthetic GL-5 75w-90
Clean oil no need to change
You do mistakes
How you will determined a clean oil from that differential box?. I change the oil by mileage. Same with how you change your engine oil, by the mileage.
The color is clean because it doesn’t mix with combustion like engine oil, but the thickness of the oil is not good anymore
