She's a very underrated actress. So happy to see that Dan Levy revived the careers of Emily and Annie. Can you imagine those talents being left by the wayside? What a shame that would be.
Its so late that i discovered schitts creek but damn 5 years for a six season show? I just finished the whole series for two days and im glad i didnt have to bare the waiting for every episode to come up.
This video didn't give justice to Hampshire's acting range between 12 Monkeys and Schitt's Creek. In the latter, she plays a snarky introvert, who seems to draw more into herself as the show goes on (until her great awakening), but in the former she plays a manic mental patient whose delusions happen to be real. She plays both roles convincingly and flawlessly.
Don’t know if you caught it but during this years NFL playoffs there was a State Farm commercial featuring Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes competing in an axe throwing contest decked out in appropriate plaid shirts and jeans, etc. Both Aaron and Patrick threw their axes but neither’s axe stuck in the target even though they cockily acted as they did. In between their throws a girl (barely looking at the target) stuck her axe in bullseye. The judge congratulated “Stevie”. It was indeed Emily Hampshire! Subtle but very funny for Schitt’s Creek fans.
Thankyou for liking my comment I always watch schitt's creek's I like all the actors and with this covid I no we are in the last days and everyone should ask jesus into there heart God loves you and Jesus died for you and just want to say that asking Jesus into my heart was the best decision I ever made

I love Stevie. And her chemistry with Levy is wonderful.
My favourite Emily Hampshire role was in Blood. I have 2 DVD copies and watch it at least twice a year. She was amazing!!!
