There is no feed. They players are paid. And the club pay for everything (school, doctors, housing, food...). To join you just have to be really really really good. It's the academy that formed the most players currently playing on Europe. It's just mindboggling, if you pick up a random top team in Europe, it's very likely that they have some player from the academy, not only portuguese.
@@footballgems8955 You have to be really really good. And hope that some scout spot you. Now... In Nigéria I don't know if they have any scouts. I know they have scouts in some african countries, mainly the ones who used to be portuguese, but on Nigéria don't know how that works. I know that many years ago they spot a nigerian kid who was a runner, not a football player (Sporting is way more than just football, football is even where Sporting is worst. Other sports Sporting is more than likely the best club in the world). The kid who was a runner, he had a very trouble life on Portugal, and eventually lost years of training, and fucked up a bit is muscles. But he still manage to win a silver meddle in the Olímpics at the 100 meters. So... It's not easy. But if you are really good, you probably could have a chance. But... And this is not a joke. Sometimes they could make mistakes. A few years ago, a kid from Norway wanted to join the Academy. But they don't accept him because they don't think he was good enough. The kid was Halland lol they turn him down!!
@@footballgems8955 It's really not easy to be accepted. For what I've read, only two kids joined the Academy almost without any second toughts. Cristiano Ronaldo (but even to him they had a small talk to see if he was a good investment) and Paulo Futre. You don't know who Paulo Futre was, but he was a amazing player in the 80's and 90's. At the time only Maradona was better than him. But those where different times, he spend the best years of his career at Atlético Madrid (when Atlético was shit, it was him that make Atlético good), and when he finnaly was to join a good team, he had a serious injury and never again was the same.
1:09 Gelson Martins, Rafael Leão, Daniel Podence don't agree.
they are all ballers though and that's why I like Sporting Clube Portugal they make ballers
I answerable questions I play for them
Quaresma also came from Sporting’s academy.
