I just bought and returned the gimbal within two days last week. The stabilization really isn’t that great (yes I know it’s only 2-axis) but compared to how I normally hold my phone on a Joby it’s not worth it. You also didn’t mention that you have to use the Zhiyun app to connect to the gimbal which asks for Bluetooth, wi-fi, an account and your location. Sure you can disable wi-fi and location but the app asks you for it each time when connecting and you can’t use your own phone camera unless and until you connect to the app. The instructions are simple but don’t make this clear. The tripod legs are extremely weak and it barely held up my iPhone XS Max, I felt like they were going to snap if I made any adjustments while standing.
The lag time using the rotation stick is also way too slow (yes yes I know it’s a small motor at the inexpensive price) but honestly you’re better off just spending the $80-100 for a decent smartphone gimbal if you actually need it.

Recently got the Deity D4 Mini and it is awesome
I use the iPhone 11 Pro Max and a MOVO PR-2-PM vlogging mic. I took that mic for granted because I couldn’t figure it out until I learned on this channel about how audio is essential and I went back for it and whoa… soo good.
I really like that gimbal it’s one I’d love to try!

I bought one years ago for 6€. Wasted my money completely because it didn't fit on with the case which i always used. Ended up taking it off to try it and a week or so later i broke my screen.

You have so many great gadgets here, but I think the one that will currently help me the most is the mirror monitor and hot shoe rig. I’ll probably be ordering those soon. Love Think’s content and ideas.
Camera Gear: Sony ZV-1, Rode Wireless Go II, and Rode Lavalier Go. The accessory I like is the phone gimbal.
I'm using a Note 9... Loving the mirror accessory.

I love all you guys info. I got the mirror and the selfie stick with remote (from another vid you guys did). I use my phone but recently got a Panasonic FZ300 could you advise if that is worth it or should I say good camera for vlogging? I don't mind using my iPhone 10 which is what I've been using but thought I get a camera but I have no problem returning it if lol. It's a little hard learning the camera. I have a hydroponic vegetable channel and I must say I really have a learning curve with the camera.

Another great video. Once I learn how to make a thumbnail I can start my TH-cam journey. I have an expensive gimbal I don’t use because it doesn’t stand like advertised. Now I know I need another attachment. I definitely plan to invest in the mirror and the two mics. You always give great suggestions for starting small and moving up. Thanks.

I got a Xiaomi 11T Pro a couple of weeks ago and just recorded a drawing tablet review using just that (and an external mic). Really great phone and super excited to push harder on some mobile photography and video. Gimbal is first accessory I want to get for it. I was actually looking at a Zhiyun this morning, but the Smooth 4 (3-axis).
Thinking about getting a Xiaomi 11 pro too for filming. How good are the lenses? Any need to order for a macro lens?

I also have an iPhone 12 Pro that I would like to use for quick shots but the sound is always lacking. I really like the affordable gimbal and mic options that you cover here.

That mirror for the smartphone shooting is CLUTCH!!!
I didn't find the gimbal to be that useful until I stick it on top of a monopod. It's easier to hold the monopod than the gimbal for extended periods of time.
The smooth X is really great. I have one and reviewed it. I also like the BOYA mic and Xomica makes some great stuff I use as well.

Currently filming with a Canon PowerShot ELPH 180 and my Motorola Moto g7 Play. The gimbal and the lapel mic would be the accessories I would be most interested in at the moment.

That gimbal under $50 looks awesome and it doing great job in stabilizing the footage! I'll definitely invest in one in the future when I'll start working. For now, I'll stick to my smartphone, tripod and my regular selfie stick.
Don't. Buy a 3 axis instead. Try and see if you can find anyone with one to try theirs out and get a feel for it.

Omar, the mirror trick is what I need but I mount the microphone on the cold shoe mount. How can I mount both the mirror and the microphone? I liked the low priced gimbal too btw

im using poco x3 camera,it does have image stabilization and also able to take 1080p,4k resolution..the video feature is good but nothing too fancy

The Deity V.Lav does have a better in the chunky bit on the cable. It can die (esp. if you leave it plugged in) and will eventually need to be replaced.

I mostly use an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Just add an external mic of some sort (I prefer wireless) and you can do a lot.
Which camera should you use to add the extra lens the top or the bottom on s9+ the rear camera?
i use my Iphone XS Max to shoot all my videos, its perfect for now until am ready to upgrade to a decent camera but its crazy to see what your mobile can can do nowadays.
Samsung Galaxy S10e. Makes decent 4K/60fps (eats through battery) & good stabilisation, which was decent for motorsport photography. Zoom & low light capability isn't great, but it was good enough, before i bought the Canon R7.
You can use Hohem I-steady X instead of this Zhiyun smooth X gimbal if you need 3 axis

Would the lenses work on an iPhone 11Pro? It has 3 lenses. Wouldn’t this added lenses cover up one of the other lenses? Also would it help my cooking videos look crisper, as I don’t think I need wide angle as my videos are close ups of food.
