I’ve had my rail 6 years. Best thing I bought for myself & kids. The memories we made camping and taking it out are priceless. But they are money pits. Something breaks every year.
I actually do not have a ton of info on that one outside of what may have been mentioned in the video. That guy was awesome and the sand rail was nice, but we did not chat too much about it.
I’m the co-builder/owners son lol. It’s a 2006 ish Desert Dynamics dual sport we believe. -18-20in wheel travel in the front -16-18 wheel travel in the rear. -10.80 STU front tires -35.5 rears -gen III Lq9 Ls with SS2 cam, (228/230 @.50, 112 lsa, .585 lift) with pac 1218 springs. All running on a FItech standalone ecu with fabricated intake and 91mm throttle body. ICT billet accessory kit, with LS1 style water pump and ps pump. -MD4S-2D trans 5.14 r&p and a mystery main stack???? 😂 got it from ranch geared for a 3.5 Honda. -934 Cvs with 300m axles on micro stub hubs Great shots of the car man!!
So with a cam, a tune, and a whole new injection system you think he's making stock power? Granted he might not be making 500, but i seriously doubt hes in the 300s. Those engines have a lot of potential if they can breathe and get better fuel injection
@@xanderp5184 if you don’t believe me Richard holdner has dynoed countless ls combinations and to get an ls to 500hp naturally aspirated you need a lot more then a cam and a different intake manifold let alone 500hp to the wheels.
@@AndrewSosa maybe I missed it, i didnt catch him saying it made 500 to the wheels. I am often wrong according to my woman, but i would still be surprised if it was making less than 400 at the crank. I suppose it is all conjecture without a dyno test though. I must thank you, however, for continuing a reasonable discussion without unnecessary unpleasantries. It is a rare thing in today's world, and i appreciate it.
Not uncommon to have the kiddos out at little sahara. Ha had a full face helmet, 5 point harness, roll cage, and the driving was mild compared to having a solo driver. You should see how wild the kids get on the 4 wheelers out there!
It's very safe. Low traffic, slow rides and a few small hits. With that suspension and the quality seats and harnesses the body is locked in pretty well.

That sounds about right lol those guys were breaking all kinds of parts out there. Hella fun but Hella expensive for sure.
I was here that weekend with my 250R. Great video.
That's awesome! We are hoping to get another trip out there sometime this year. Planning to get some "different" footage of the action this time!
Don't know who was more excited, Jason, Earl or the kid. They all sounded the same!!!!
Those sunglasses have to be giving him a extra 50hp!
You guys should head to Glamis in California. That's where a lot if the big boys play. 2200hp 180 mph cars.
🔥 🔥🔥🔥 content as usual
Hey! Nice video as always! could you tell me more about the brand / model of the sand rail at 14:00 please?

Then it’s probably around 350hp

@Casey O'Connor
Interested in trading with cash for those 17" 35 wheels/tires for some 15" reinforced Douglas wheels/new 33" STU's? In Kansas
That can't be safe. The kid in the back

That child will have awesome memories as an adult versus the child that was kept indoors growing up because outside is dangerous .
True story!
