If you were to run a reasonable Throttle return spring, you probably wouldn't wear out Throttle cables. Mine has been on my sandrail for at least 20 years.

I wish we had a strong rail dune buggy group here in Texas as y'all do there
All you have to get is 2 buddies that have dune buggys and then u will have a strong group of sand rails
