This may be a rude question, but in re Nancy Mace "I don't want (male biology) in my bathroom", how does she know that Sarah McBride hasn't had SRS? Sarah McBride is an innately trans person. If you listen to her talk, she says that she has known she was trans her entire life. I have never met such a person who doesn't want SRS. I do not think Nancy Mace is a bigot. She doesn't come across like that to me. I am of the belief that all of these "anti-trans" people can be made to see things differently in re innately trans people. The part that people miss is that sex resides not only in the body but also in the brain. There are innately female people who are born with male sexual biology and vice-versa.
It doesn't matter. People like her view maleness/femaleness as an innate thing. Basically like a male/female soul. And to go against the "God ordained" order is inherently degenerate and evil. No matter what Sarah McBride does or doesn't do with transition. It makes no difference to them.
Prior to the MAGA movement taking over Nancy Mace had put statements supporting trans people, and that they should be protected. Politicians like her will never be convinced because it's not about the merit of the debate for them. It's about doing and saying things that they believe their base wants to hear, and see. It's an act for her. There are a few Republican politicians who genuinely hate and despise trans people, but most are like Nancy Mace where basically her position will be based on the political winds of her primary voters. Yes, I do think a lot of people can be persuaded on the trans issue, but it will take a lot of work. Sadly, the trans community is even smaller than the gay community, and the issue of why trans girls and women should be allow in female sports, and spaces is something that takes a lot more explaining as to why we should do those things, than explaining to people what it means to be gay, that it's how they are born, and why they should have the right to marry. I just don't see that level of education by society to be a thing that's going to be happening in a big enough way for probably another 10 to 20 years. Especially with how little money and effort Democrats put into the issue versus how much money and effort the right wing puts into spreading anti-trans lies, and propaganda.
ALL trans people are "innately trans." And there is no such thing as SRS. There are a number of surgeries that help trans people affirm their gender, but there is no single SRS.

Many influencers are upset that Sarah McBride didn't protest the policy. First off, she did push back calling out their hypocrisy by highlighting how she is working for the needs of her constituents while they engage in pettiness. We need her to be poised eloquent and to not get into the weeds with the mean girl MTG contingent who want her to take the bait. They want her to get into the weeds with them preferably in an "its maam" style crash and burn to label her as toxicly masculine. Her rising above the fray will be seen more like MLKs peaceful legal demonstration in bensonhurst where he instructed his contingent to not talk back to his antagonizers. The images of the hateful retoric while he and his folllowers maintained a dignified presence was seen around the world and had a positive impact for the movement. Transpeople should do similarly going into rural areas in the south doung marches and getting it on tape for the world to see. Will there be losses. Yes. The civil rights leaders knew some would not return from the mission including MLK himself who was assassinated in 1968. He understood that you don't get anywhere without sacrifice. Since they couldn't get her to get upset about bathrooms, they will push her with male pronouns. That's when they will start looking like mean girls which will start to show people who didn't have an initial dislike of transpeople before this orchestrated hate wave these last few years, that the conservatives are engaging in manufactured outrage and that hating transpeople is the point and not some genuine concern. If she were to go into the women's room they would paint her as initiating an aggressive move which would take away the focus of their meanness when they go to plan b (pronouns) as some will think that she started it and hence deserved the misgendering. It's really important that she be dignified. If Johnson goes as far as making her dress in the male dress code. That is covered by bostock and that's when she can disobey as he will have over played his hand and the public will start seeing the maga movement for what it is. I want him to over play his hand. Mlk counted on authorities in the south overplaying their hand. She's the only transperson who broke through to the big show. The big show being a nationally known transwoman that will have an audience in the arena of politics. Thanks to the cis hetero corporate management combined with the dylan mulvaney boycott which caused a freeze on transwomen being hired for visible positions like news reporters , the hopes for more good trans visibility are dashed. Thats why she is extremely important. She is our Jackie Robinson. He was selected instead of Satchel Paige because too much was riding on the first black person entering the big leagues. They knew satchel was going to fight back. Jackie knew the whole weight of his race was on his shoulders and that he had to bite his lip for the first few years to not allow his antogonizers to take the focus away from his greatness as a player and a human. Too many transwomen take the bait and become the aggressor which is exactly what the gc feminists want. While she can stay above the fray, we can do the dirty work. Another protest Ive suggested which is different than the bensonhurst style one i describe above is for transmen trained in self defense to go into women's bathrooms in Florida which will lead to confrontation and violence to demonstrate the intrinsic flaw in the bathroom laws that don't take into consideration the social impact of transition. Again this is a completely legal protest. This also needs to be well orchestrated and put on tape for the world to see.
I don't think we need her to be MLK or Rosa Parks, she's just a person like anyone else. nothing in particular rests entirely on her shoulders; this is an ongoing issue of continual advocacy for human rights.
Bostock’s days are numbered. The case Chase Strangio’s arguing next month on health care is going to go 6-3 in favor of the treatment bans and if you don’t think the conservatives have five votes to overturn Bostock in the process you’re not paying attention. They’ll nail McBride on the dress code early on. You watch.

Trans men don't exist to these people, they're gonna fucking flip when a person who looks like a man is in their woman's bathroom due to these rules.
That is the implication. I just commented with a vid showing two trans men who would, frankly, scare most biker gang members. Yet they would need to use the women's bathroom.
Here's the vid; look at time stamp 4:07 (although the whole vid is worth warthing, IMHO.)
They never address this. Ever. It's always about trans women being forced into men's restrooms in order to protect cis women, which apparently will go smoothly with no violence or complications. They never think it through at all beyond "get those men out of the women's restroom."
Trans guy here and if I went in to a women's bathroom it would cause chaos with my beard and baritone voice.
But here's the reality. It's not about what parts you have. They don't want sex based facilities. They want _anti-trans_ facilities across the board. They want to make it impossible for trans folk just to exist in public.
They absolutley focus on trans women for a reason. Women are afraid of men and equate trans women to men. Because they very idea that a man would want to relinquish their superiority seems baffling to these people. To lose your "power".

No
@@Mekelaina Because it is an innate thing lol, every cell of your body is male or female. Nothing can change it
Prior to the MAGA movement taking over Nancy Mace had put statements supporting trans people, and that they should be protected.

This also needs to be well orchestrated and put on tape for the world to see.
.
I don't think we need her to be MLK or Rosa Parks, she's just a person like anyone else. nothing in particular rests entirely on her shoulders; this is an ongoing issue of continual advocacy for human rights.
@hash8169 . I never said the fate of transpeople entirely rests on her shoulders
You watch.
I am reminded of the movie Hidden Figures when three African American women had to run unbelievable distances to go to a non white bathroom. 🚻
It's disgusting bigotry.
