skyydaniela I’m a jersey girl born and bred... i was saying today to my Uber driver that jersey is the most beautiful state- we have........ mountains, valleys,farmland, beautiful beaches (have a 2nd home in perfect Cape May it has the best beaches ) , food, vineyards, shopping (clothing and apparel tax free and super luxury to the best finds thrift stores), best most insane views of NYC, stones throw from NYC, most beautiful old historic mansions , homes and buildings (some even dating back to the beginning of the colonization of USA, and beautiful multimillion dollar new homes and modern high rises and buildings, hiking, rivers and lakes, amazing schools, concert halls, easy access to transportation , beautiful seasonal weather (esp the amazing colors of the trees in the fall and the snow covered pine forests in the winter, water and theme parks, great nightlife, Atlantic City (ok it’s not as fancy and glitzy as Vegas but it has such greAt character and Is beyond fun aka gambling and partying all night in the casinos and then do the boardwalk and beach during the day, beautiful mix of diff races and a huge melting pot of ethnicities and colorful beautiful rich cultures, smart savvy sexy people filled with passion and love!!!! Hearing about your mother and her passion for cooking reminded me of one Japanese cartoon "Food wars". You and your mother make perfect parallel with the main character and his father. You HAVE to give it a shot, it should be really interesting for someone who understands food. There are lots of unusual tricks and ideas for cooking you will probably come across something you never even though of before.

I grew up near the Watching Mountains. It is very pretty. Back then, we would go and climb the water tower. too. Lots of my family still lives in Westfield and nearby. North Jersey is gorgeous...I went to school in Mendham and my brother, in Gladstone, near Chatham. Just gorgeous.
I grew up next town over. Long Hill. Same highschool sending districts. I only found this out recently, but its still crazy to me. Probably 3-4 years apart. It was a really pretty area to grow up.
