I am one of those who watched OITNB late, just finished the whole 7 seasons and I am so blown away by the vauseman ship and after all those years, they still have that bond.
I'm just gonna be honest. We all Love Laura and Taylor, we all love vauseman, and we all love orange is the new black. But thats not the point of the video. The point was to talk about Laura's amazing book. These two women are so much more then the fictional characters they played in the show. and i think more people should focus on that rather then shipping their characters and the actresses themselves. just wanted to put that out there :)

I blame the impersonal nature of the video conferencing setup + her trying to wade through a ton of live chat comments (looking for actual viewer *questions*) for any awkwardness. When they do interviews together in person, there's never any awkwardness between them.
@@kalenyuh Some people said she was "awkward". I've seen lots of her interviews and at times, she /can/ come across as awkward...but I think it's just her putting a lot of thought into her answers, so it's not necessarily a bad thing. Just my take on it.
She is always a bit awkward and that is her personality, there’s NOTHING wrong with it. Everyone needs to chill, it’s an interview betweeen two friends, and if someone doesn’t like it, there’s always the option of closing the video 😃 #Laylor #Vauseman ❤️

Seeing Laura promoting the book made me think that “Oh, this a wonderful book. But as a young fan, I don’t think topics about motherhood is suitable for me” (Considering that I am not a mother and don’t really plan to be one. I think most of you can relate) but watching this just really changes the audiences’ prospect because of its personal touch to different kinds of people out there be it a young woman, a mother, as someone who’s dealing with mental health issues, etc. And by sharing a personal experience that she could’ve chosen to keep privately is such a courageous act to be able to extend aiding the people out there who are having the similar experience as hers and who actually needs these lessons. This is such a tremendous opportunity for us to realize that even people who seems to be happy with their lives and who we recognize as ‘almost-perfect’, also have their dillemas and the most important thing I see here is that it could happen to anyone, as Laura mentioned- she’s not really this anxious person until she became a mother. And that to me is a vital shared knowledge that lots of people are going to realize from this moment on. Thank you, Laura and Taylor. You are both articulate in speaking about these issues in life. Being a late Netflix bloomer and just having binge watched OITNB, I fell in love with these women’s characters. I fell upon this conversation and fell in love with these two women as people. I am not a mom and am too old to become a mom, but after listening to this conversation and seeing how excited Taylor Schilling (also not a mom) got while talking about the book, I now feel the strong need to buy and read this book. I feel that it may give me a sense of my own childhood and explain some of the things that my mother did as I was growing up!! Gotta read this book! Can’t wait! Thank you, Laura. When I was a young mother in the 70s, it seemed like motherhood was kind of competitive, and sharing of negative feelings was discouraged. When you talked about not having it all together, it brought tears to my eyes. I wish I had had that kind of support. 💕
