    Thank you for today. Tolsta tee I want to make and after your last video I purchased the pattern. ( too afraid to join the MALKAL’s. ) but thank you for the chat about this lovely pattern. Looks good on you ! Your tenderness today was honest and just … you are strong. I recall your first video… I have enjoyed all your sharing. I do wish I could be as comfortable as you in terms of sharing …. We do all have strengths and weaknesses. As an introvert I always love looking into the window of places I wish I could go ( IG….sharing and u-tubing). But so glad strong Women are available to look up to. Thank you. ( the Marathon would be the thing I would wish I had done…. I did do a half tho and loved the training. Take care…

    Thanks for another great episode. So interesting to hear how your increased conference gained through the podcast has overlapped into your "day" job. I have really noticed it in your latest episodes. Good luck with the course. I thought about your ideas on Art when i was at the national gallery in London , it was so busy, but everyone visiting, seemed to have such different ideas and perspectives, so enjoyably and amazing to see sunflowers, but it was Lake Keitele, that blew me away...❤

    Last weekend I traveled to Montreal and went to Espace Tricot (creators of the Fleur shawl) to see in person, yarns I can't get where I live. I had the fuwafuwa in and out of my shopping basket many times 😊. The Fleur is a lot of fun to knit, the bobbles are fun and is a lightweight travel project (i used Handmaiden silk mohair)

    I love your color choices, blue is my favorite color, I gravitate to it first & always. I'm finishing up my Tolsta, what an awesome pattern! It actually fits. This is the best fit ever for something I've knit. My Tolsta is solid in Orchid pink, cotton/tencel yarn - I love the feel of this shirt too. I definitely want to make a striped one, and after seeing yours I want to do one with the lace pattern. That's gorgeous on you. Good luck with your new endeavor LIly. I love art, but it has to look good, I basically hate most of what Picasso did. I love Mary Cassatt's little girls on the beach. Edward Hopper, Ansel Adams, Monet, Michelangelo, ancient greek statues, different architecture designs. Lots of things... the creativity of people is truly impressive. You're in a really interesting field.

      Thank you so much for your kind comment, and your Tolsta sounds AMAHZING. The fit really is divine and I'm excited for Rebecca's new cardigan pattern that testers are seeming to love the fit of as well.
      And thank you for sharing your love of art! It is a language of its own, and helps us communicate so much!
      Thanks again for watching and happy knitting!

    I love all your knitting, the colours and yarn are gorgeous! I wouldn't worry about the hum of your Tessalated Pullover rolling. When you have it on your body, that on its own will lessen the roll. Plus, it's wool, so blocking will do wonders. Just make sure you pin down that rollie police hem. I cant wait to see it grow!

    I get the "lingering" shawls ! I had my second Half and Half waiting to be finished. Worked on finishing for hours and hours , and had 30 stitches remaining to be reconciled. (About 5 inches!) Timed myself for an average round, and figured out I still had 10 hours of knitting to finish! Kind of overwhelming! For that small piece. Frustrating! I stuck with it, and after 9 hours and 18 minutes- I was done! Would I do it again???? Probably not.

    Beautiful colors. You can try it on as you go… put the stitches on a cord and put it on. You’ll be able to see how it fits at the hips. When you knit a few inches do it again. I’m a newish knitter but I sew and try on everything at every stage and make corrections as I go. Always seemed strange when people say they can’t test bottom up. You certainly can, it’s just the opposite as a top down. You still can see the fit as you go just from the hip up. If it’s too big when you knit up to the waist decrease. If it’s small increase. I’d be mortified knitting a whole sweater and it didn’t fit. The best part about knitting is if I screw it up I can rip it out😂 sewing something too small to fit…not a lot of options except losing weight 🤦‍♀️ , I love knitting since I can just rip back and make increases or decreases. Love it. Takes longer but very creative to knit a sweater.

    • @Lily_curatorial_knits
      @Lily_curatorial_knits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So interesting! I actually do find that bottom up is more challenging for me to predict fit-the shoulder hang and fit makes such a difference that if the body length is off it can dramatically impact the overall fit for me! That said, I cast on with a provisional cast on and did the ribbing going down so I have a little hack to adjust length if I need it! 😜
      And how great to bring your sewing experience to a new craft-the flexibility of knitting is for sure one of its super powers! 💪

I can relate to your enthusiasm to start the next beautiful project. But maybe focus on finishing the two sweaters in-progress and the shawl in hibernation. Take the half-and-half wrap on the road, or leave it a corner like mine is 😂 Then you’ll have all of the new projects to cast-on after Rheinbeck. ❤
