She’s amazing!! Saw a clip on TT & had to come over here to watch it in FULL! I’m so proud of her and all of you guys! She’s such a beautiful woman with an amazing personality! Loved the way she told her story❤
This is harm reduction, shame dies when we tell our stories. To all the people complaining about her tone, know how incredibly privileged you are to not have experienced any of her trauma. That’s the voice of resilience. If you’ve never had to talk about something that makes it feel like there’s hot coals in your throat, don’t criticize how she gets herself through this podcast.
Thank you. I recognized it as soon as I saw the clip. & I just knew people were going to be judgemental.... They should count their blessings that they've never experienced something so traumatic that they needed this coping mechanism.
The way she speaks makes this unbearable to listen too. I'm sure her story is very inspiring and interesting but I can't with the way she tells it. I lasted 12 minutes and I literally couldn't pay attention it was all I could focus on.
I agree. The baby voice was killing meeeee. I think this is her way of making something difficult to speak on easier for her. Like making it funny. However, it was in fact very difficult to push thru. I did finish however lol.
The way that woman actively blamed a little girl for her sons behavior, and perpetuated the “you’ll ruin his life” trope with the “he almost couldn’t go to college” is so fucking sad. We still have so much work to do. ALSO: who cares about her cadence or the voices she makes, it’s WHAT she is saying not HOW she is saying it. A lot of us make “jokes” or stress words to be able to get them out when they’re traumatic. I hope this was healing for her.
I feel the same like she still has a long way to go how she now looks down on people who drink to still not taking accountability for her addiction and what she’s put her kids through and just saying it was her baby fathers
7 minutes in and I LOVE THIS GIRL OMG shes so fun, i love the random voice changes, whisperings girl got me crackin up! Great chemistry right off the bat!
I like her story but sometimes u have to accept responsibility for what u have done and I'm saying this cause when she mentioned her child having cavities she blames someone else and yes i understand u was working but it takes 3 mins to brush ur babies teeth B4 and after work ...also I'm a recovering addict with 3 GROWN KIDS NOW...and I know I did it to myself I can't blame anyone but me
I watched this whole thing love her story proud of you all for getting sober . I lost my sister this year to addiction I wish she could have made it through
What an amazing story!!! This is my first time hearing/ watching the podcast and I have to say you’ve definitely gotten yourselves a new fan! You guys all seem like such awesome people!!
When she told her story of her step brother I cried so hard that’s the exact reason so many of us don’t tell because of women like her step mom! I’m so sorry for her not believing you! I turned to my boyfriend and was crying and said if her son did it to anyone else it’s his own mother’s fault uggh I’m so sorry!!!!
I’m going through something similar with my child farther I pray this doesn’t happen to him I don’t wanna feel that pain because he’s all I have 10 years strong
You can tell shes feeling pressure being on camera like she has to keep talking and ends up doing that thing where they talk say random things or make randomass noises just to keep talking.
This was a hard watch with all the voice changes and random whispering, but nonetheless I appreciate you sharing your story. As you tell it more, which I hope you do, I hope you grow more comfortable and confident without all the theatrics.
@@ryanmcmahon9572 I am I work 6 days a week overnights I think I’m a big girl but thanks for telling me what I should do lol tell people at my work to grow up they always calling out and putting the shit in the wrong spot
So much of this was hard to listen through, it jumps around so much and she's so inconsistent with "yea I was using, no I wasn't" like which was it?? I understand why her tone is the way it is but dang guys this one was just rough and needed some refining, not to censor but just to make a cohesive story to listen to.
It’s crazy to me the fact that she keeps putting a lot of blame on the baby fathers how she couldn’t say no to the drugs cause she follows whoever she falls in love with to that’s why her sons teeth were rotten I totally understand this can happen to anyone just taking accountability that’s all those kids didn’t ask to come in this world

Unbearable to listen to. Top 1 most annoying person. That voices she continues to make that she thinks is funny is really just always a let down lol. I kept waiting for a joke to land
The voices kill me. She is just so unserious about everything. I get dark humor, but this isn’t that. The story is told in a way that she thinks this is cool. To say “the kids were with me for most of this” and then laugh is just 🥴.

I thought the voice was gonna eventually stop 😩 it was making me cringe so bad 🫠

I hope ahe was on her own for a while and able to process her grief before starting another relationship.
Everything is everyone else’s fault, as an addict myself this is what was called painting pretty pictures.. Take accountability ma’am
Omg I always said it smelled like mustard lol the vinegar is accurate
