Conditions turned oot awright Murray. Some cracking pics 👌 I always thought u were a proper photographer back in the day on Walk Highlands. 😉 You always put up guid pics.
Never finished your last vid. Started watching oan the big telly & soon as you jumped oot the van with Lexi, Boom! Ma dogs went daft. 🙈 😂 It was funny at first, but now it's getting nippy. Every animal on TV, even cartoons. 🙈

I’ve said it before Mr Wilkie, but thank you for your perpetually delightful videos. You have a wonderful presentation style that is so understated and modest which completely underplays your communication and photographic / cinematic skills. You really do capture the essence and joy of hill walking in Scotland (regardless of weather).

You should be proud of your photography as it shows you “have an eye” for photo subjects and they are a pleasure to look at. You are helping a lot of would be walkers see what we are missing. I am no longer fit enough to “ take to the hills” but can be there because of your fab videos and photos. Keep them coming.

Good evening Murray. Some stunning photos there. I love the ones right at the end of the waterfalls, absolutely fantastic.
What a very ‘atmospheric’ day you had there. Didn’t start of with much promise but certainly came good in the end. There were some fantastic crags in the Coire.
    All the best mate 😀⛰🥾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Your stills are great but I watch for your video footage and descriptions and comments.
I appreciate your occasional warnings to the less experienced.

Murray, it doesn’t matter what we (the viewers/subscribers) think. The main thing is that you enjoy the time you spent capturing or not capturing / editing them. Do it for you, I think most of us are happy to come along for the ride…
Having said that, if the premise of the video is to go and shoot some landscapes then by all means show them. Some of the shots that you, Ray and Stripey have captured are amazing and do add to the videos. I think you and Ray (if I remember correctly) have shared some amazing images over the years from Beinn a’ Chrulaiste as an example. They definitely make me want to start carrying the bigger camera again back up into the hills purely for the purpose of capturing something fleetingly beautiful.
Hope this makes sense. Long story short, you do you.

I can't say I miss the photos, but when you add them they're always pretty nice. I may be wrong, but I can't see how a camera sensor can properly compare with a 1.0-type or full frame CMOS sensor, it's just a different kettle of fish, but that might be me.
I don't think you've been lazy Murray, lazy might be if you didn't put in any or all of your editing work to share quality videos with us. Another wonderful walk with you this week, thanks, helps a lot!

Thanks Rick - absolutely agree - especially in low light - or if printed out - one really notices the differences then :)
      Thanks for watching

Another good climb Murray. Great photos. When I started out I used my Pentax ME that had wynd on film and travelled with a Nokia 3110 phone!!! Aye those were the days. Got 100,s of photo prints. But the technology now is superb. I only use my iPhone for photos now even although I have a Pentax digital SLR. Anyhow as always enjoyed your footage always so professional.

Good to see you taking pictures again, you've definitely got an eye for photography! i'd say the ZV-1 taken the best picture, the i phone was nothing in comparison to it, infact i think we just get so use to using our phone we think they take a quality picture but when you see the pictures side by side you can see the phone camera is pretty shit but as you said " ideal for facebook" ATB Mark.

Yeah - agree I reckon on social media the old phone pics are fine but if low light or printing out then the bigger cameras win hands down :)

Aye u think they add to videos. Depends on the type. Of video though u know. Think sometimes maybe too many people who arnt interested may skip. But baout having some and not too many maybe?
There or still doesn't do any harm. Thanks again. 👍 I wonna go up that one again some day.🎉

Your videos didn’t need over thinking Murray they’ve been superb quality .
A wee hint of the Tom weir would put the icing on the cake for our over sea viewer & Our horrible neighbours , what I mean is a little history of the areas you go to but that’s research and time , just a thought you might like the change of added format or maybe I just miss Tom what a cracking man he was ..p,s
The physical evert alone to capture the shots is not going unnoticed all be it we don’t see the amount of miles you do back and forth the cameras 📸 ..

Agree - I do sometimes like to add wee snippets of history or Folklore in there - just finding time to research most of it tho 😂😂👍

I really enjoy taking pictures when I'm on the hill or trail. There's absolutely no doubt, though. For me, filming is a hindrance to photography. It's such a shame that there are not 26 hours in a day to squeeze everything in. 😂 Another corker Murray. 👌

Absolutely - I think that’s why it slowly stopped from the videos - doing both filming and photography is more time consuming - i really enjoy both though :) got a series of ten videos coming up over Xmas where one of my challenges was to get at least one photograph each day ! Let’s se how that turned out 🤔😂👍

You always take quality photos, any one of your atmospheric mountain black and white photos would look good on my wall👍. Anyway, which model of revolution race trousers are you wearing, there are so many i struggle to make the right choice

Absolutely stunning Murray. What a wonderful place. Can I ask what Revolution Race trousers you had on in this video and are they waterproof?

Bottom line i think is, if you enjoy taking/editing photos then do it. For me, i find it breaks the rhythm of the video & doesn't add much to what the video shows me. Thats just me tho, a point & shoot merchant 😂
    Another great vlog tho 👍

That's why I ended up giving up the DSLR...too much of a slitter to stop n take out...mobile fone so much quicker and they are pretty good now and with the mobile you can catch wildlife better as you can just take it out yer pocket which is a lot quicker!

Absolutely agree and the technology in the phones is getting better and better- one day cameras will be no better than the phones probably:)
      Thanks for watching
