Hi Don, yea probably . Also probably what got me stuck with this old bike in the first place LOL. This is one that I should not have bought really. I have not into it now that it’s worth. But… oh well, win some lose some. I’ll be hanging onto it Anyway
Hope your efforts pay off, you certainly try hard for perfection. Like these bikes remember when they first came out in the UK latter part of the 80s if memory serves.
Fantastic job mate!!! So usefull for me to see which problems I will may encounter when I'll do the same work on my CBX. Thank you for sharing you're experience!!!!
You're welcome. I highly recommend that you shift that gear box through all the gears and make sure the transmission shafts are spinning smoothly as you put the cases back together.
Great to see the motor coming back together, again. Just one tiny thing that I feel as though needs to be pointed out, assembly lube should not be placed underneath the bearing shell, they should be put in place on the crank and rods dry, and then the lube goes onto the shell, other than that top notch wrenching, 😎👍.
Meticulos! Great job. I did the dry fit on mine as well, but never thought about the crank seal. Have only run a few km, but I’ll be checking that seal now 😰
Will you put the machine on a dyno after the re-assembly in done ? New parts and all the internal cleaning you done surely gonna be a strong & healthier engine .
No, these bikes don't have the kind of performance that warrants a dyno. Ill just be happy if it runs like it should after all this. The new parts used wont influence performance, they're just wear items and their replacement will just keep her running (i hope)
I want to know if the bike is good for daily use and if the engine is good for this type. I want to buy one and I don't know anything about it in terms of the defects it has
@@إعملبيديكI’m not an expert on their general use, but it’s the same engine as the night Hawk, aside from know weak points with starter chains and tensioners they should be ok ….but like any bike , a lot depends on how they have been treated and maintained
Your OCD you talk about is probably a good thing when putting an engine case back together. Great video.

Yes sir. A few times I walked away and came back the next day. Plus , waiting for parts forces patience !
